A stunning place and magical people! 🤩❤️🩷🧡
Unusual, natural, beautiful! Real Bali, without the tourist trappings, no hustle and bustle, just pure nature, an authentic atmosphere, and genuine, warm-hearted people! The eco-hotel's grounds are simply stunning! So much work and love has clearly been put into them. There are flowers all around, an avocado garden, coffee trees, a well-mown lawn, and the plunge pools with spring mountain water are a godsend! You can swim and even fill up with clean mountain water to drink from the spring. There's a natural pool for children.
The staff and owners are a wonderful family, such warm, caring people! Many thanks and love to the owner, Yuni! ❤️ She explains everything, helps with everything, is always welcoming, and she cooks local Balinese dishes so deliciously! We were greeted warmly, as if we were visiting good friends. 🤗
The cottages are well-spaced, spaced apart from each other, so no one disturbs anyone else. Each has an area where you can light a fire in the evening under a roof protected from the rain. The cottage has two floors: the top floor has a bed and a balcony, and the ground floor has a living room, toilet, and shower, all in the fresh air. Shampoo and hot water are provided. Incidentally, the water is also mountain hot water. The blankets are pleasantly warm, the bed linen is good, and there are plenty of pillows. There's no air conditioning or heating in the cottage, but it's not necessary—the temperature is very comfortable even with the windows open. There's a café on-site with stunning mountain views. The hostess prepares breakfast and also serves Indonesian dishes à la carte any time of day (until 9:00 PM). The grilled ocean fish with local sauce was magical!👌👍
The air is so clean here! The views are breathtaking, the silence, the forest, the mountains, the flowers, and the gardens—it's truly peaceful.
The price is very reasonable for Bali.
We also swam in a mountain river, near a small waterfall 200 meters from the hotel.☺️
Well done, I wish this eco-hotel and this wonderful family continued prosperity! ❤️🤩👍
Thank you so much Yuni and Harry!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I highly recommend it!
Рекомендую!💯

Ohana has some good things about it, and could be a good retreat with some investment. I booked a Deluxe room for one night and checked out the Apartment because I wanted to stay there long-term (thanks to the gym proximity), but the A/Cs were very weak, so I couldn't extend my stay into the Apartment, and the Deluxe room was too small and uncomfortable for laptop work.
Pros:
- Away from the street and pretty quiet for now (though there's a construction site right next to it, see rooftop photo)
- Nice bamboo-lined entrance after you open the gate with the security code
- More comfortable beds than in 8/9 other places I've stayed in Bali so far. Not Tempurpedic or anything that fancy, but softer (perhaps a memory foam topped over a coil mattress).
- Only 5 minutes walk to the best gym in the area (”WRONG” gym)
- The room was clean, the towels smelled very nice, but the glasses looked dirty
- Pretty good light blocking curtains
- Insect mesh on the windows! This is such a common-sense feature, but it was the first time I saw in Bali, after staying at 5 hotels/resorts, 1 villa, and 3 rooms at PARQ Ubud
- Nice (for the area) rooftop views, with beautiful sunsets
- Helpful staff assisted with carrying luggage
- There's a small communal kitchen with a microwave and utensils you can use
- Nice (but unpopulated) rooftop bar area
Cons:
- The street entrance is a construction war zone, with garbage and everything (see photos)
- Not just the A/C in my room, but both split A/C units in the Apartment, were VERY weak (so 3 units in total). The A/C in my small room only managed to drop the temperature by 2.5C (4.5F) during the 2 hours of running at maximum (loudest) fan speed (28.6 -> 26.2 / 83.5F -> 79F, see digital thermometer/CO2 sensor photos). Staff told me they could call engineering to take a look, but the facilities/appliances were old (the subtext being, don't have much hope).
- The chair was more of a torture device than a chair. Who in their right mind would buy anything like that except perhaps for a ”DO NOT DESIGN FURNITURE LIKE THIS” exhibit?
- Only one power outlet for the desk/chair area, occupied with the WiFi router, so I had to plug my laptop into the bathroom power outlet
- No water provided. Staff told me to go to a minimart. The closest one walking north was Circle K, and the walk is the typical stressful walk in Canggu, with scooters and cars parked on the sidewalk, construction all over the place, and the frequent lack of pavement
- The place was advertised as a coliving on Colivings, but there were maybe a total of 2 other guests there, and no sense of community whatsoever.
- The floating beds looked dirty (see photos)
- Due to the height of the pool, it's only exposed to sunshine until about 2pm
- The Apartment has an odd choice of 4 chairs around a table instead of a couch, and no microwave or toaster or blender in the kitchen. Good light blocking curtains in the bedroom though, and its view is relatively private when the curtains are pulled open.

alxxService was excellent, Teja received us late into the night, warm and calm with that famous Balinese hospitality. All the staff here made us feel welcome too, indulging in my effort to practice the local language.
Facilities, the pool, for the first weekend of our trip seemed like ours alone with very few guests around. The room had a bit ants here and there, but this is the tropics.
Location is not bad. Off the main dusty road, bit of a walk in but you get to explore the warungs and coffee joints (ino.oz has a lovely citrus matcha and chill staff playing guitars on some evenings). For easy gojek pick up or drop offs I'd just put the pin on shinraku teppanyaki along Jln Bisma
Hikes, yoga and massages are well within walking distance!

Walk n SeeA Hidden Gem That Keeps Calling Me Back!
I ❤️ Anartha Resort Jimbaran ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just returned from my second stay at Anartha Resort in Jimbaran, and I can honestly say this place has completely stolen my heart.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, warm, and genuinely private boutique resort in the Jimbaran area, stop scrolling, this is it, you have found it.
Tucked away just 10 meters from the main Uluwatu street, the resort offers the perfect balance: easy access to restaurants, shops, yet once you step inside, you feel like you’ve entered your own peaceful sanctuary.
It’s not a massive 5-star mega-resort, and that’s exactly what makes it special. With only around 20 two-storey villas surrounding the swimming pool, everything feels intimate, secure, and wonderfully private.
From the moment you arrive, the open-air restaurant (completely wall-free except one side) welcomes you with its breezy, inviting atmosphere. The smell of fresh Balinese coffee and the gentle sound of water from the pool immediately put me in holiday mode.
The whole property has such a warm, homey soul that instantly makes you feel relaxed and cared for.
The villas themselves are absolutely delightful. Each one is spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The bedrooms are so comfortable: featuring a huge, dreamy bed, plenty of seating space, and a big wardrobe.
But the real treat is the bathroom at the back: a generous shower area paired with a massive bathtub where you can truly unwind. (Just a small heads-up, the hot water runs out before the tub fills completely, so I recommend enjoying it half-full rather than waiting).
And the breakfast? Outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and generous. Make sure you try the Balinese coffee — it’s rich, aromatic, and one of the best I’ve had in Bali!
I loved it so much on my first visit that I came back again… and it felt even better the second time. Anartha Resort delivers that rare combination of comfort, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality that makes you want to return.
If my words aren’t enough, check out the photos I attached — they capture the beautiful pool setting, the cozy villas, the open restaurant, and the spacious rooms much better than I can describe!
Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back for my third stay soon. Thank you, Anartha team and staff 👍

Anonymous UserWhen I arrived, I was fortunate that there was a lady near reception to help with check in. When I was checking out, I had to go upstairs to find someone. I also had to go upstairs to request for hair dryer as it wasn't provided in the room. The WhatsApp number provided for any requests was useless as I couldn't call or message the number and had to keep going upstairs. I think that is really not good as there should always be someone at reception to attend to any requests. The room itself was ok but I saw a lizard and ants at the sink. Cleanliness has room for improvement. The jungle view was not too bad but there was also ant on the floor so I didn't open the door. It would be better if they can also make up the room and clear the rubbish. Location was great though.

Guest UserA heavenly place, we got a room with a view of the lake and the volcano. There are fruit trees on the territory, such as mango, avocado, passion fruit and many others) there is also a pool with a hot spring, but for us it was not hot enough) the staff is always responsive, always ready to prompt and advise what and where to see) it is simply a magical place. I recommend it 100%

Strange situation...
I had booked a room with air conditioning, but they told me I was assigned a different room.
The hotel refused to issue a refund.

Guest UserGede was so nice and helpful. True MVP. He gave me suggestions and even a ride to somewhere too far to walk! Short walk to Dream Beach (with a good restaurant) and Devil’s Tear. About 20 minute walk to Mushroom Beach with more restaurants and a few ATMs along the way. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. The bungalows are rustic but really pleasant. The AC is strong and there’s a mosquito net for the bed so it’s not a problem that there are some gaps in the walls and door. I liked the open-air bathroom. The shower was nice. The pool is also great. Breakfast was eggs and toast, plus coffee/tea and juice.
The outlets weren’t placed super conveniently at the floor if you like to charge your phone at night and see it in bed. The “safety box” thing in the room isn’t actually secure - you can open it with your finger. However, I always felt super safe and wasn’t worried about needing to use it.

A good place if you're looking for something on the budget side. For a small price, you get a spacious room, your own little cottage. There's an electric kettle, mugs, and hot water. Breakfast is brought to your cottage. The best part: an outdoor bath with hot water from a mountain thermal spring. The water is hot and mineral. Taking an evening swim in the fresh air is a pleasure! There's a pleasant green courtyard with well-kept plants. The staff is friendly (only Indonesian, but you can communicate via translator). You can ask them to turn on the bath or bring you something via WhatsApp. The views are stunning! You can see the lake and mountains from the cottage, and even the sunrise! For those writing about flies: yes, they are everywhere around the lake; it has nothing to do with the hotels. But they only appear during the day; they disappear with darkness. The cottages have curtains; if you close them, there won't be any flies in the room. The only thing missing is a clothes hanger to put things and luggage on. We were satisfied! Thank you.
Suksma aturang titiang majeng ring staf! 🧡🙏

The location is a bit into an alley but it is safe and there is car parking too. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The bed was good and the service was good, but it wasn't comfortable because there was a construction project in front of it so I woke up early in the morning because it was a bit noisy
