It was possible to transform a two century old granite house into a place where the reception area, the dining room, the kitchen, the bar and the living room can be found, maintaining the original structure of the house. A new building was added next to it where the cozy, comfortable bedrooms are located. The surroundings of this small, family business farm (vale Martinho) are fantastic: a vast, beautiful forest area which is embraced by two rivers, Dão and Mondego, two historic cities at an half an hour drive away, Viseu and Coimbra, and two of the largest mountains of Portugal, Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo, are nearby. You can also find the Ecopista (an ecological path) which leads you in-between mounts and valleys where the view unique and where you can go for a bike ride using the bicycles you rent at the farm. Here you can rest and enjoy breakfast made of regional products, some of them raised at the farm. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom and has a balcony. Extra bed, crib, bar service, massage service (available by appointment), hydro massage (available by appointment), bicycle renting, small library, music, internet access, Tv and space to host events. Pleasant visiting sites nearby: Santa Comba Dão has an emblematic historical city centre where the mother church, the Casa dos Arcos (house of arches) and other significant buildings are located. The nearby streets also preserve small local establishments where salon discussions took place in older days for generations and where small restaurants serve typical food. In the city’s centre you can glimpse over a small stream who guides you by gardens which lead to the steps of the county where the Town Hall is located as well as other buildings that make this space very interesting. You can go on hikes through fantastic paths where a stunning view overDãoRiver will take your breath away and where you can watch peculiar species of birds.
