Ma Wan 1868 Resort

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the area downstairs has great shops and many clean, lovely restaurants. It's really relaxing to come here for a short getaway now and then. My family and our two furry friends all had a wonderful time!

Lucky us! This time we stayed in House 21, which had three rooms with three double beds. Both floors had a living room, and there was a kitchen and bathroom on each floor. It's dog-friendly and even came with dog treats! Both floors also had a Xiaomi electric kettle for boiling water.

We stayed in a 6-person room, and it was clean and tidy. The location is convenient and the surroundings are beautiful. The room facilities were well-equipped, and there was a kitchen for self-catering. It was a breeze to just pack our bags and move in.

The guesthouse itself is pretty good – clean and with strong air conditioning! It's located in Ma Wan, which I wouldn't recommend if you're not planning a relaxing getaway, as it's quite remote. However, if you enjoy spending a few quiet days, it's an excellent choice. There are a few unique restaurants downstairs, but they're pricey, and if you stay out a bit late, there aren't many other places to spend money. So, it's best to buy food at the supermarket in Tsing Yi City before checking in (the guesthouse has a fridge, microwave, and induction hob available), or head to the Park Island Superstore (a walk of 30 minutes or more from the guesthouse). From the guesthouse, you can walk to Noah's Ark in about 15-20 minutes. There's also Ma Wan Beach nearby with public showers, where you can easily spend an afternoon. The Solar Tower is also close by, which is suitable for younger children. Overall, the guesthouse is great, and both adults and children had a wonderful weekend. The only drawback was that it rained during our stay, and the rainwater dripping onto the air conditioning unit made a consistent tapping sound at night. I'd suggest adding artificial turf to the outdoor AC unit to reduce the noise from the dripping water.

This guesthouse has everything you could need, including a kitchen, which made for a fantastic stay. It's a great choice for couples or friends. The location is super convenient with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the view outside is stunning, overlooking the sea.

There's a restaurant downstairs, which was nice for a vacation with friends. However, there aren't many facilities or activities available. It's suitable for a chill trip, and I hope the resort will be more fully developed in the future.

The vacation rental is very new and well-equipped, with a fantastic view! It even has a washing machine, microwave, and cooking utensils. I'll definitely bring my family back to stay here again. It's close to the city but still has a great holiday vibe! Highly recommended!

The vacation home environment is so comfortable and clean, it feels incredibly relaxing. Plus, there's a balcony where you can quietly enjoy the scenery. We'll definitely come back next time! It's a pet-friendly place, 100% recommended. The staff at reception were also very friendly and gave detailed explanations.
