they do not have a 24 hour reception, the cleaning lady doesn't understand english and will not allow you to stay inside the perimeters when you check out the room

Fortune Hotel is located in the heart of Mong Kok. Taking the elevator downstairs, you'll find snack bars, tea restaurants, and various shops, which is super convenient for shopping. The owner and staff are all very nice, and the rooms are clean and tidy. I really liked it and would definitely want to stay here again next time. I give it a good review!

The service was great, and the place was clean. The location is excellent, and the host was very friendly. Just a tip: After booking online, it's a good idea to confirm by phone, especially if you've booked multiple rooms. It's better to bring your own towels, though disposable toothbrushes are provided. Thank you to the host for accommodating us, as the online platform information might not be updated in real-time.

Considering it's Hong Kong, this hotel is good. All four of us slept well, the bedding was clean, no cockroaches, hot water, and there was even a TV, a mirror, and tea/coffee. The description said no check-ins after midnight, but they still let us in. It was quiet in the hotel, but I think we were lucky because the soundproofing is really poor. It's not that easy to find, the entrance is inconspicuous, and you need to take the elevator to the 7th floor.

We found some dirty underpants in a corner of the bed. Disgusting

Clean and nice. The building was old, but the room was fine. The location is great with many shops and markets around. Halal food was available as well around the area. The host was nice and friendly. They offered a larger room, because we had our kid with us, although we booked a room for couple. Good for short stay in HK.

Our stay was a terrible experience: 1. When we first arrived, the manager told us to remember to return the key when checking out, and we confirmed we would. However, at 11:30 PM the night before we left, someone knocked on our door. Since there was no peephole and we were already asleep, we didn't answer. Then, our door was just opened, all so they could once again tell us to remember to return the key… 2. The room was extremely small, and had no windows. While no windows wasn't ideal, the air conditioning barely worked and was incredibly noisy. Our child was sweating profusely, as if they had just been out in the rain. 3. It was a non-smoking room, but the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. Other guests were clearly smoking in the hallway. 4. The hot water had to be heated electrically (and it was super loud; you could hear the heating sound when anyone nearby was showering), but the hot water only lasted for about three minutes. It was literally a 'combat shower'. Plus, no hairdryer was provided. 5. The TV remote couldn't turn the TV on or off. 6. I'll add more if I think of anything else, but overall, it was quite shocking.

Stayed for one night on New Year's Day. The auntie at reception was quite welcoming. The room came with two keys, one for the room door and another for the hallway door.

I bought concert tickets late, so only a small room was left. Next time I'm in Hong Kong, I can ask the owner to book a room in advance! 🫶

Small but mighty – a real plus for Hong Kong. The room was clean and the location was absolutely superb! The lady at the front desk was also very friendly. A little tip: If you arrive late, you can use the house phone at the reception to dial the number on the business card provided – then the lady will come and check you in.

The hotel is clean, near markets & subway station. I am satisfied to stay here.

Everything was fine. A small room, but cozy room. Iit also was a bit difficult to find the hotel, but it is Honk Kong, in the end :). The host speaks only Cantonese and asks you to give a deposit of 100HKD (need to be prepared!), but this seems to be not a big issue anyway

For budget traveler like me i recommend this hostel. It's quite cheap and in very good location in mongkok. It is located in the 7th floor of the building. There are many shopping centers, shops, convenience stores, and restaurants around. Even though the room is small but its clean. And the landlady has limited english but they are trying their best to communicate and give you their best service. I will choose this hostel again when I'll be back in hk.
