Please, I beg everyone not to go there. We were scammed. We arrived and the room was not as advertised. It was supposed to be in Block C of Chungking Mansions, but when we checked in, they put us in a hostel in a different block run by someone we didn't know, and it was in a much worse condition. Everything was dirty, the toothbrushes provided looked used, and the shower, bed, and walls were covered in hair... Seriously, please don't go.

For this price in Hong Kong, having a private single room is already excellent value. The room doesn't smell, has air conditioning, the bathroom is odorless, and they even provide drinking water and Wi-Fi. Highly recommended for those on a low budget.

Very small room, but the elevated bed is quite comfortable (allowing you to store suitcases underneath). There's a water dispenser and a microwave near the entrance. Be prepared to wait to access them, as there's often a crowd in front of the elevator. Nice neighborhood, close to the bay.

The guesthouse is located inside Chunking Mansions, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. The surrounding area offers a wide variety of dining and entertainment options. Hong Kong is definitely a city worth visiting again and again.

Upon arrival, I had to call the owner from outside the building to check in. The owner, who is Indian, asked for my passport for registration, and communicating in simple English was fine. The guesthouse is located on the 12th floor of Block C in Chungking Mansions, but the owner took me to the 10th floor of Block B instead, which I believe is where the Apple Inn is. So, be aware that the actual room you get might not be in the advertised location. Also, the elevators in Chungking Mansions are small, slow, and often crowded, especially with people from South Asia and the Middle East, so expect to wait. The room itself was tiny, with the bed right by the door and a very small, cramped bathroom to the right. However, for just over 100 HKD, you can't expect much in Hong Kong, and it was livable. It came with a universal adapter, towels, disposable toothbrushes, hand soap, and toilet paper. There was free Wi-Fi, though it wasn't very fast. The air conditioning worked well, and the shower had good hot water pressure, but the sink was incredibly small. The bed sheets felt a bit damp and had some small stains and hair, but overall, the room had no strange odors. The door could be locked from the inside but not from the outside, so it's important to be mindful of your personal belongings when you leave. On a positive note, you need to use a key card to enter the guesthouse, which adds a layer of security against outsiders. Overall, it's suitable for budget travelers staying one night, with no major issues.

Stayed at Reliance International Guesthouse for a short trip. The location is convenient with easy access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. The room was basic but served its purpose for an overnight stay. Overall, a budget-friendly option if you’re mainly looking for a place to rest while exploring Hong Kong.

the guest house generally acceptable for a family (two small double beds). the reception man is kind and gentle. all necessary appliances are provided but shared. the room area is not accurate but acceptable.

It could be cleaner though.

OK, this stay was good. The air conditioning was cold enough and the facilities were decent. They had a hot/cold water dispenser, an air conditioner, and a microwave! 👍👍👍🥰

The location is good in the city center of course. But the staff I am unsure about . Because the one who I waited for took way too long to get to the guesthouse after I called to check in. Room is not dirty. Bathrooms are sa bit old.

Came here with an open mind, and I guess you get what you pay for.

Well, this is Hong Kong, so you have to be prepared to get... well, this for crazy money. Anyway, we were lucky to have a private shower and toilet. The room itself was tiny, there were bed bugs, and one evening we came back to find a huge cockroach crawling on our bed... The location, however, was very convenient, and the room was cleaned once a day.

Very small room but for an affordable price in the area. They made good use of the space and had our own bathroom but getting the lift up and down always took a while as the building is so busy!

Located in the Chungking Mansion building - convenient location close to food, metro, shopping and museums. After reading hundreds of horrible reviews for many homestays/hotels in HK I was pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. Room was clean - small but enough space to keep bags under the bed and stand up. Water, towels and toilet paper were provided. Fan and aircon were working but there was a hairdryer with a Chinese plug and no adapter so couldn’t be used. Bed was very small (I’m 178cm and JUST fit head to toe touching the wall) and they only gave us one tiny fleece blanket for 2 people - after asking for another blanket they provided one no problem. We booked a room with shared bathrooms which could definitely be cleaner. Overall good value for the expensive accommodation prices in Hong Kong.
