Regal Hongkong Hotel

My stay at Regal Hongkong Hotel was an absolutely terrible experience. Upon check-in, they gave me a 'warehouse room' that was filled with what looked like over 100 cardboard boxes, possibly for mooncakes. As a result, I was bitten by insects (I have a doctor's note to prove it), developed multiple red rashes, and suffered from unbearable itching. To make matters worse, they refused to admit their mistake afterwards. It's truly shocking that a supposedly 'star-rated' hotel could make such a basic and serious error. I strongly advise all travelers to avoid Regal Hongkong Hotel (Causeway Bay)!

I stayed for three nights. On the first day, my flight was delayed by 4 hours, and I arrived at 4 AM. The front desk staff was on duty and processed my check-in quickly. The room had a direct drinking water tap, which was a nice touch. The room was also relatively spacious, and the windowsill had a soft padded cushion where you could sit or lie down. The bedding was a down comforter. Controls for lighting, air conditioning, and curtains were all push-button style, located on the bedside table, which was convenient. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Causeway Bay MTR Station Exit F1, very close to SOGO, and there are many dining options nearby. The hotel's Regal Palace restaurant is also outstanding.

Overall Impression: A classic, established hotel with a strong old Hong Kong vibe. The rooms are spacious, and the service is attentive. Extremely Convenient Location: Situated in the heart of Causeway Bay, it's less than a 10-minute walk from Causeway Bay MTR Station Exit F1, offering abundant shopping and dining options nearby. Impressive Space: For Hong Kong's notoriously tight spaces, the room size is a pleasant surprise – genuinely spacious and never feeling cramped. Vintage Charm: The hotel exudes a sense of history, retaining an elegant old Hong Kong style. The room details are well-crafted, with exquisite wood carvings on the curtain rods and under the TV cabinet. Natural Mountain View: The back of the room faces a mountain, offering an expansive view. From the window, you can even spot eagles soaring over the mountains, a rare touch of nature amidst the bustling city. Spacious Bathroom: The bathroom is very roomy, with a well-designed separation of wet and dry areas. It also features a large, triangular bathtub. Prompt Service: The service attitude is excellent. When I called the front desk for an extra blanket, it was delivered to the room very quickly. Convenient Luggage Storage: The luggage storage service after check-out was smooth, making it easy to enjoy the last day of my trip without hassle.

The room was great, very well-equipped, and my child loved the bathtub. The best part was the hotel's convenient location, making it easy and efficient to get around. The hotel breakfast was good, and they really went the extra mile to make us happy, even giving a panda plush toy to my child, who absolutely adored it.

The service was attentive and polite, and I especially appreciated the in-room drinking water. The location is also excellent. They even gave us a lovely panda plush toy and complimentary cooling ice cream for each guest.

The location is excellent, right in Causeway Bay, with Exit E being the most convenient. There are many great dim sum restaurants nearby. The room itself is quite spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated. You can catch the tram (ding ding) right downstairs, and a half-hour ride to Kennedy Town offers a unique local experience.
