Hotel and hospitality costs in Hong Kong and Macau can be high, especially during the Chinese ***** New Year. I looked for an affordable hotel that wasn't too far from Hong Kong Disneyland. and Victoria Harbor (north or south side) was okay. I reluctantly chose this hotel because it was far west (Quarry Bay), but the price was in my budget. All staff in the hotel were remarkably professional and polite, and the concierge was awesome. There were ample restaurants and great food, and the subway was just steps away from the hotel. My room was upgraded to the top floor with a harbor view, and many thanks for that. The only drawback was the very quiet location, distant from the bustling areas of Tsim Sha Tsui and Central in Hong Kong. I felt like I was in a ghost town during the New Year at this location. I moved to Tsim Sha Tsui for my last day. My room views were great though.
