Empire Hotel Hong Kong－Wan Chai

The location is fantastic - there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, as well as metro station, bus and tram stops, plus a bus to the airport. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of food. The view from the 18th floor was fine, and the blackout curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the light. I could not hear any traffic noise from the road. A one-time afternoon tea was included in the booking. There is also a little station in the lobby where you can make DIY cards using the stamps. One thing we missed was some focused lighting near the head of the bed, such as bedside lamps. It would also be nice to have a full-length mirror in the room, perhaps on the outside of the bathroom door. The staff were polite and helpful, and they assisted us with calling a taxi on a rainy morning. We also appreciated the fact that no deposit was required. The air-conditioning system looks rather unusual. On the first night, we found it difficult to fall asleep because of the noise, but after that we adjusted to it, and it no longer bothered us. We had no complaints about the overall cleanliness of the room, and housekeeping was provided daily. The only thing that disappointed us slightly was that the bathtub did not appear to have been cleaned during our six-night stay. The toilet was always clean and well maintained, but when two people use a bathtub regularly for almost a week, residue builds up quite quickly and requires proper cleaning products. We would therefore suggest paying a little more attention to cleaning the bathtub as part of the daily housekeeping. Apart from that, we had no complaints. We enjoyed my stay, would happily stay here again, and would recommend the hotel to others!

Reasonably priced and good size room. Conveniently located in center of wanchai for entertainment and business.

Not the perfect location for subway, it's quite far to walk to nearby stations during the hot day but I got the very cheap price when compared to others, size and comfort is very good
