Empire Hotel Hong Kong－Wan Chai

The overall stay was decent. The hotel's location is excellent, making transportation very convenient. The lobby is spacious and grand, and they offer free luggage storage service, which is a thoughtful touch. The staff members are warm, polite, and responsive. The downsides are that the room's hardware is a bit old, with visible signs of aging and mold in the bathroom and on some walls, which detracts from the overall impression. Also, the soundproofing isn't great. While the public areas are well-maintained, the internal renovation and maintenance of the rooms need improvement. It's a good choice if you prioritize convenient transportation and luggage storage, but if you have high expectations for the room's newness, you might want to reconsider.

Location: About a 5-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR station, with excellent bus connections, making transportation quite convenient. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Service: The front desk and room service staff were very kind and patient during check-in. When I called the front desk from my room for service, there was no discrimination against Mandarin speakers. The complimentary bottled water was a huge plus, especially on such a hot day. Cleanliness: The interior of the guest room and the hotel lobby were clean and well-maintained. The cleaning staff were also very nice. Facilities: Oh, the Wi-Fi in the room was a bit elusive with a poor signal. However, the air conditioning was very powerful, and the bedding was fantastic. I had a very comfortable stay in my king-size room. Overall, for 700 a night, it's an absolute steal at this price point. If you plan on exploring Hong Kong Island extensively and prefer a quiet, hassle-free stay, this is a no-brainer.

Good value for money. However, the price increased significantly when I extended my stay, much more expensive than the initial booking.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, with traditional Hong Kong cafes and convenience stores right downstairs. The rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped, and the maintenance is spot-on. The soundproofing is decent too. Front desk staff are friendly and responsive. This hotel offers fantastic accessibility, whether you're sightseeing on Hong Kong Island, on a business trip, or taking a cross-boundary bus back to Shenzhen at night. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Hong Kong. Highly recommend it for those traveling between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and also for families!

Great location, very convenient, and they provide complimentary bottled water. You can check in after 3 PM once the room is cleaned. The room facilities are a bit old, but with such a prime location, who cares about minor details? (It's so good, what more could you ask for?)

The location is fantastic! It's super convenient to get to Central and Hong Kong University by MTR. There are also tons of food options nearby, and Wan Chai Market is just around the corner. I highly recommend the Mexican restaurant right next to the hotel.
