Rosedale Hotel Hong Kong

Stayed for two nights, and at 400 a night, it's pretty good value for money. The location is decent, right next to Starbucks and McDonald's in Causeway Bay. The main entrance is on a small side street. The lobby on the first floor is quite large and fancy. However, the bathroom has a bathtub, which is a bit inconvenient.

This is my favorite hotel in Hong Kong. I stay here every time I visit. It's close to Causeway Bay, right next to Victoria Park, and the Hong Kong Central Library is just around the corner. It's perfect whether you're just here for tourism or want to immerse yourself in Hong Kong's cultural atmosphere. The hotel lobby has great air conditioning, which is always a relief when dropping off luggage.

Accommodation in Hong Kong can be quite expensive, so if you're not a fan of small guesthouses, the Park Lane Hotel offers great value for money. It's located in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island, about a 10-minute walk from the MTR station, with bus and tram stops right outside, making transportation very convenient. The hotel maintains the high service standards typical of Hong Kong hotels – warm, professional, and attentive. They also offer free luggage storage. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise and definitely a bonus. The downsides are that the room is a bit small and the Wi-Fi is incredibly slow; it takes ages to upload a picture, so I had to rely on my own mobile data the entire time.

The Wi-Fi was also very slow. The bedding, blankets, and pillows weren't very clean. The next day, I woke up with a rash and insect bites. I won't be booking here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated in the bustling Causeway Bay, just a 10-minute walk from MTR Exits F and D1 to The Park Lane. The hotel definitely has a dated feel with old-fashioned decor. However, I have a soft spot for nostalgia, which is why I chose it among the many hotels in Causeway Bay. It's about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Park, perfect for an evening stroll, and there are plenty of cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes) and shopping malls nearby. Upon checking in late at night, tired, the receptionist didn't even look up or greet me. They also claimed I hadn't booked breakfast when I had. The service wasn't meticulous, and there was no eye contact or smile, which felt quite impolite. The room's cleanliness was just average. Later, the duty manager, Mr. Cheng, called me back, patiently explained things, and allowed a slight extension for my check-out time. This recovery in service definitely helped restore some reputation for this 25-year-old establishment.

Facilities: Comprehensive, includes a fridge, table and chairs, and a large bed. Hygiene: Good, the cleaner is very helpful and comes daily to empty the rubbish. Environment: Staying on a high floor, it's quite quiet. Service: All hotel staff have good service attitudes. I frequently visit Hong Kong and always stay at this hotel. Although it's not large, it's clean and well-equipped with amenities, including disposable toiletries and drinking water. The main advantage is its proximity to Causeway Bay, making travel and shopping convenient. This time, Trip.com even included breakfast, which I was happy with.
