The Charterhouse Causeway Bay

Although The Charterhouse is nothing special, its proximity to the exhibition center is unbeatable. If you want to minimize walking, this is your place, but be prepared for some compromises. The environment and service are just average.

The location is great, in Wan Chai, with convenient transportation nearby. The hotel facilities are a bit old but otherwise fine. My sleep was disturbed by loud talking from the next room late at night. After I reported it, they promptly moved me to a different room the next day.

I've stayed at this hotel three or four times now. It's right near Causeway Bay, so getting around is incredibly easy and cheap. The price is really affordable, comparable to a guesthouse in Tsim Sha Tsui, but the facilities are on par with a 3-star hotel. This time, I was upgraded to a family room. The bed was quite large, and I slept very comfortably. There was also a small table. They don't provide disposable toothbrushes or toothpaste, so remember to bring your own. The bathroom has disposable towels and slippers. However, the cups in the bathroom were a bit dirty, like they hadn't been cleaned properly. **Transportation:** The A11 bus goes directly here, and the MTR is also very convenient. There are bus routes everywhere. **Dining:** There are tons of places to eat nearby, and they're very budget-friendly. For breakfast, you can head to the third floor of Bowrington Road Market to experience authentic local life – it's great value for money too. They don't offer free luggage storage after check-out, but you can go to Times Square for that.

Excellent location, a top choice for dining, living, and transportation on Hong Kong Island. The room is a bit small, but it's surrounded by many authentic local eateries. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs, the AC is powerful, and the service is attentive.
