Alva Hotel by Royal

The hotel room was quite spacious, but the location is a bit out of the way. There's a convenience store downstairs. They offer a free shuttle bus to the Royal Park Hotel in Sha Tin, but the last shuttle back from there is at 8:10 PM, so we had to take a taxi, which cost about HKD 50. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Shek Mun MTR station, and there's a good Teochew restaurant right at the station exit!

Excellent 👍 The environment is clean, the location is convenient, the room is spacious enough, and the service is great! It's very close to the subway station, and the surrounding area is super convenient with plenty of options for shopping, errands, and dining. I'll definitely stay here again!

I was really satisfied with my stay here in Africa. It's an easy 8-minute walk from Shimen MTR station, which is on the Tuen Ma line. This makes it super convenient for getting to concerts at Kai Tak and Hung Hom. You can also easily transfer to the East Rail Line at Tai Wai for trips across the harbor to Admiralty or even up to Lo Wu in Shenzhen. The hotel and rooms are both brand new and offer great value for money.

Overall, I was satisfied. The location is in Sha Tin, which is a bit far from the city center but very close to the racecourse. There aren't many dining options nearby; you'll need to go closer to the MTR station for food. They have a rooftop pool and gym.

I arrived very late and the room type I booked was no longer available, so they upgraded me to a triple room. It felt a bit wasteful for just one person. It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway station, which is quite convenient. There's also a supermarket nearby.

The hygiene is top-notch, the bedding is comfortable and quiet, and all the amenities are well-appointed. The staff are friendly, and overall, my stay was perfect.

There were two 1.53-meter beds, and I appreciated the thoughtful details like different colored cups and toothbrushes. The breakfast selection was just okay and a bit pricey. Having a 7-Eleven downstairs was super convenient.

The breakfast on the first floor offered a good variety, and the restaurant environment was also quite pleasant. The only inconvenience was that the laundry room required tokens which had to be exchanged at the front desk. It would be helpful if this information was provided during check-in or available in the room, saving guests an extra trip to the front desk.
