Garden View Hong Kong

This was my second stay here, and the night view from the Mid-Levels was just as captivating. I love how spacious the rooms are, and the suite has a kitchenette for cooking. There's a Fusion supermarket downstairs, and just across the footbridge is the free Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. With nice weather and fresh air, it's lovely to stroll around the Mid-Levels and see the cute orangutans. It's not crowded, and you'll see many expat kids in the park. The hotel provided a welcome fruit platter, but there are no USB or Type-C charging ports in the room, so you'll need an adapter. The location is very convenient if you plan to visit Victoria Peak, take the Peak Tram, or head to the US Consulate and Central. However, only bus 12A stops right by the hotel; if you are in a group of four, you can take the East Rail Line to Admiralty and then catch a taxi for just around HK$29, which is a great value.

After looking around the Hong Kong Station area, this hotel definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money and environment. It's quiet, the lobby is clean and bright, and the rooms are tidy. The front desk staff were also very nice; I think it might be part of their professional training, as I'd seen in other reviews that they use a lot of polite language as part of their normal work routine. The view from the window was also great.

I've always wanted to visit the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, so I booked this hotel right next door, which turned out to be super convenient. I saw reviews on the booking site saying the hotel was exceptionally clean, and it truly lived up to the hype—it was such a pleasant and refreshing stay. The room was also huge (I used to travel to HK a lot for business and stayed at several international 5-star chains costing thousands a night, but none had rooms as spacious as this one). The bedding and bathroom amenities were very reliable, and the hot water came on quickly. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. On top of that, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which is a rare treat in Hong Kong where you genuinely feel welcomed. Loved it here and will definitely be back! (Just a heads-up: it does require walking up a bit of a hill to get there, but it's not a big deal.)

The room is quite spacious, newly renovated, and very clean. The bedding is comfortable, and the pillows aren't too high, providing good support for the neck. The bathroom has disposable toothbrushes, shampoo/conditioner combo, and body wash; you'll need to bring your own for other toiletries. Inside the room, there are disposable slippers. Mineral water costs 8 yuan a bottle, so it's best to bring your own or boil water yourself. The hotel's transportation is relatively inconvenient. Bus 12A stops outside, going towards Central. Bus 23, going towards Admiralty and North Point, is available further down the road, but walking there is very difficult and somewhat dangerous due to many cars under the overpass and no dedicated pedestrian path. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, especially during off-peak seasons.

The rooms are quite new, and it's right next to the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, where you can see animals for free. It's also a convenient 20-25 minute walk to the Observation Wheel. For dinner, I went to the Western restaurant on the ground floor below the Bank of China Tower. The hotel offers good value for money and is worth recommending.
