Airy Stay on Carnarvon

Overall, it was decent. It was quiet at night, which was a plus. My only two complaints are that the elevator is quite small, and the toilet needs to be manually refilled. Otherwise, I have no other issues.

Very satisfied to be able to stay in a hotel at this price point in Hong Kong, where every inch of land is so expensive!

Facilities: It has all the basic amenities, but the toilet doesn't refill automatically, so you have to use the shower head to fill it, which is a bit inconvenient. There's a hairdryer and an electric kettle. I suggest bringing an extra universal adapter as I didn't see one in the room. Hygiene: Overall, it was quite clean. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day during my three-day stay. Environment: This building is mainly occupied by adult entertainment businesses, so you'll see all sorts of people. If you're staying alone, I recommend paying close attention to the elevators. There's a notice on the wall; there are two elevators, but one of them doesn't go directly to the 9th floor. Service: The staff were friendly and proactively asked about the self-check-in process, which was quite convenient. If you have any questions, you can use the contact information posted on the wall. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. For this price and location, it's a great deal. There are many good restaurants nearby, and it's easy to walk to Victoria Harbour and various MTR stations. I would book here again on my next visit!

First off, the building itself isn't in the best condition. At night, I could faintly hear music, so the soundproofing isn't great. The air conditioning was also quite loud when it was on. On top of that, the floor was leaking during my stay. However, the cleanliness was acceptable.

The room was very clean, and the bed was big enough for one person. Towels, shower gel, shampoo, and other amenities were all well-stocked. No deposit was required for check-in, and instead of a key card, it was a password entry system. The owner was very friendly and could communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. The location is great, very close to Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR stations, and there are many cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes) and restaurants downstairs. For less than 300, I think it's an excellent value.

I came for a holiday with my daughter. We booked a room with enhanced amenities. They put us in a converted loggia. Consequently, the walls heated up and it was impossible to breathe. There's an air conditioner, but it's installed in such a way that the air isn't distributed evenly. One corner is stuffy because of this, while another is terribly cold. We put our suitcases against the wall and the wall got dirty. During our stay, the room was not cleaned, and the bedding was not changed. Towels are changed upon request. All the linen and towels look terrible, and the towels actually have stains. There's no soundproofing, so since we were in a converted balcony, street noise was a problem. We also had bad luck with the neighbors in room D1. When we first checked in, they were noisy and their music kept us from sleeping at night. It also seemed like that room was being used for intimate services. This was also audible in our room, and it made my teenage daughter uncomfortable. There's a spacious common guest area with a medium-sized refrigerator and a microwave. Laundry costs $25 for washing and $25 for drying. The water pressure in the shower is very weak in the evenings. There was a pipe burst, so we had to fill the toilet cisterns ourselves from the shower to flush. There's a rat running around in the kitchen; we told the staff, but they already knew about it and took it calmly. We booked this hotel because there were no other places available. I do not recommend staying there.

Clean, and conveniently located close to the subway station. It's very affordable for Hong Kong standards, and the staff are friendly. The water pressure in the bathroom is a bit weak though.
