Disney Explorers Lodge

Choosing the Explorer's Hotel was absolutely the right decision. Even though it was a holiday and there were a lot of people, we didn't have to wait long to check in. We arrived a little after 12 PM and were able to check in right away, which was fantastic. The room was very comfortable, and the sea view we were assigned was also beautiful. We had two days planned for Disneyland, and despite the recent wind and rain, it was very convenient to get there and back. The food at the hotel is indeed very, very expensive. Every staff member greeted us warmly, and they were all enthusiastic in answering my questions. Plus, the hotel's exterior is stunning; it's a great option to explore the hotel grounds when you're tired from Disneyland.

Extremely satisfied with my stay. There's a shuttle bus service to Disneyland, and when it's busy, they use larger buses that come every few minutes, making transfers very convenient and timely. The room was spacious with two 1.5-meter beds, providing plenty of room. Although the decor isn't luxurious, the materials used are high-quality; the mattress and faucets are excellent. Details like the placement of the trash can and tissue dispenser are well thought out. I especially want to commend the charging cables with various connectors, plug adapters, and USB and C-type charging ports provided on the bedside table. This greatly met our family's charging needs. The hotel's courtyard is also very picturesque, and you can walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Disneyland.

There's a Chinese restaurant downstairs from the hotel, and I'm wondering if they ripped me off. For anyone eating there, please be careful. I ordered three dishes and the bill came out to HK$1022. Looking at the menu, they were clearly HK$268 and HK$168, but the final bill showed HK$368 and HK$268. I've attached my receipt below. Please let me know if I made a mistake or if I was truly scammed.

Hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland are relatively old, and the facilities aren't exactly new. However, the rooms are spacious enough and come with slippers. There's a frequent bus service throughout the day for getting to and from Hong Kong Disneyland. After checking out in the morning, you can store your luggage for free at the storage area just to the left of the hotel. But after you're done at the park, you'll need to take the bus back to retrieve your bags before taking another bus to the MTR, as the Disneyland station is right at the park entrance. There are also luggage lockers at the Disneyland entrance, but they charge 0% HKD per item per day. Food is incredibly expensive, and there are no convenience stores or vending machines anywhere in the hotel or Disneyland itself. Eating at the hotel restaurant is almost double the price of eating in downtown Hong Kong. Honestly, if not eating and drinking wasn't an issue, I'd really rather not eat there. The hotel staff are very friendly. As for the park, I felt it was far inferior to Shanghai Disney and Universal Studios. It's best to go early in the morning; if you arrive even a little late, the queue to get in at the entrance is quite a hassle because the layout at the Hong Kong Disneyland entrance is poorly planned, and the cooling systems are inadequate.

Excellent! My check-in was the day before my birthday. Even though I didn't mention it, the front desk staff noticed it during check-in, wished me a happy birthday right away, and even gave me a birthday badge. After getting to my room, the housekeeping staff knocked on my door and delivered a cute towel cake.

The hotel has beautiful scenery, a unique style, and the staff provide thoughtful service. There's a shuttle bus to the scenic area, which is very convenient. You can also take the Disney Metro to Xin'ao. Disneyland was great, but the food was way too expensive. A burger was 86, and other food items were even pricier. The food was just too expensive.

I took a taxi to the hotel early in the morning, originally thinking of storing my luggage and getting a temporary check-in confirmation. The front desk staff told me that for an extra HKD 250, I could upgrade to a sea-view room and check in immediately – that was fantastic, and the process was very efficient. I took my room card and used the hotel's dedicated通道 (express lane), which saved a lot of time. The staff were very friendly, and the environment was great. The hotel curtains are a bit sheer, so the room gets bright quite early 😂. Everything else was perfect!

Two adults and two children, Explorer's Hotel was really great. It has a Southeast Asian resort vibe and I actually think it's better than the park hotels. The two 1.5-meter beds were very comfortable. The food was good too, and the pool was fun. Definitely bring your swimsuits to enjoy the water!

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. No need to bring a UK adapter, the hotel provides them and you can charge your phone directly. The staff service was also quite good. You can walk straight through the hotel通道 to Disneyland without queuing before entry. The food at the hotel was super delicious, especially the cakes – they looked amazing and tasted great! The hotel's shuttle bus service within the park saved time and effort, which made the experience even better.
