Grand Bay View Hotel

This is my second time staying here, and it's still great. The cleanliness and service are both top-notch. The hotel's shuttle bus is very convenient, and the swimming pool water is exceptionally clean. I will definitely choose Rambler Oasis Hotel again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

The room was spacious and clean, but the shampoo and hand soap dispensers were empty and hadn't been refilled beforehand. We stayed for two nights, but only received complimentary bottled water on one of them. I suggest providing bottled water every night.

The hotel offers a shuttle service to Tsuen Wan and Tsuen Wan West MTR stations. You can enjoy a great sea view from the hotel, and the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. The staff are also very enthusiastic and helpful. For this price, it's a hotel with excellent value for money in Hong Kong. It's also not far from Tsuen Wan MTR to Disneyland and Tsim Sha Tsui.

I think the overall value for money is quite high, even though the location is a bit out of the way. However, there's a bus stop right outside that takes you to the subway station, from which you can head to the city center for sightseeing. You can also take a pleasant stroll along the bay nearby (just remember to bring a travel adapter for charging).

The scenery near the hotel is quite nice, but transportation is not very convenient. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station, but you need to go down and queue up in advance, otherwise it fills up quickly.

The hygiene and environment were extremely disappointing; there was even a cigarette butt on top of the shower! This stay was very unsatisfactory. All aspects fell far below basic standards: 1. **Serious Hygiene Issues** Upon entering the bathroom and looking up, I found a discarded cigarette butt on the frame at the top of the shower. For basic room cleaning, this high-up blind spot has clearly been neglected for a long time, raising serious doubts about the overall disinfection status of the towels, bedding, and the entire room. 2. **Severely Aged and Malfunctioning Facilities** * **Outdated Hardware**: The room facilities were visibly unmaintained, with equipment still bearing the unrenamed 'Hong Kong Telecom' label from decades ago. It felt incredibly old without any sense of cleanliness. * **No Hot Water in Sink**: The bathroom sink faucet had no hot water supply at all, making washing extremely inconvenient. * **Loud Exhaust Fan**: The bathroom exhaust fan operated with a deafening roar, causing significant noise disturbance when in use. 3. **Problematic Combined Beds and Poor Sleeping Conditions** I requested a double bed when booking, but upon arrival, I found two single beds simply pushed together. The seam in the middle of the bed was hard and high, making it impossible to lie flat. Ultimately, both of us were forced to huddle on one side of the single bed to sleep. Furthermore, the entire bed only came with two thin, small pillows that offered very poor support. 4. **Non-existent Soundproofing and Blackout** The hotel is located near a main road and under an airplane flight path. The windows are not double-glazed, so the constant noise from traffic and airplanes was incredibly loud, indicating very poor sound insulation. The curtains were too small and severely let in light, with morning sunlight directly flooding the entire room, seriously disturbing our rest. 5. **Lack of Proactive Service** The front desk and service staff were indifferent and passive, lacking proactive care and coordination for guests' basic needs. In summary, based on the issues above, the hotel has clear shortcomings in hardware renovation, room hygiene quality control, and bed type management. It offers extremely poor value for money, and I do not recommend it to other travelers at this time.

The hotel is located close to the bay with a nice environment. However, there are hardly any dining options nearby, and the restaurant downstairs is expensive and serves bad food. Since there are no other places to eat around, I wouldn't recommend it. While the bay view is a plus, the surrounding area is simply inconvenient. I heard it's a hotel for expectant mothers. This stay was a failure, and I won't be returning. The room facilities are also basic, but at least it's spacious. Given the price, I can't give it too harsh a review. In short, I don't recommend it unless you're looking for extreme quiet. The surrounding area is really inconvenient, and getting to the hotel itself isn't easy.

The room was dirty, with graffiti on the walls. The toilet wouldn't flush, and the facilities were old and broken in many places. The dining was not good value for money, and the transportation was inconvenient, requiring a shuttle service. There was noticeable noise at night from the road-side rooms, and the curtains didn't block out the light. The room phone couldn't connect to the front desk. There's a small garden, but it's empty. Don't expect too much from this hotel.
