The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Although the room was small, it was generally clean and had everything we needed, including a power strip, which saved us from having to buy an adapter. The guesthouse is located in an older building, but it offered a unique glimpse into local Hong Kong life. Seeing residents hanging laundry brought scenes from Hong Kong movies to life for me – it was an unexpected and delightful surprise! Very satisfied!

This was the cheapest single room I could find during the May Day holiday. Other hotels were all over 1000, so this was the most affordable option.

The room was pretty good, quite clean. The building was a bit hard to find, tucked away behind several layers. Overall, it's great value for money, which feels about normal for Hong Kong.

There are no windows. There is a persistent smell from the bathroom, with the toilet running constantly. At night, there are many bugs in the bathroom. Two of the other guests stated there are better hostels in this price range and felt unfortunate that those were filled. The manager changes sheets and mops the common area daily, but under the beds have trash and dust from before I arrived. The bunk bed broke at midnight with someone in both the top and bottom bunk. Thankfully, it didn't collapse completely. The attached pictures show the solution to the collapsing bunk bed. I would not feel safe in either of those beds. I overbooked my stay and I couldn't modify down the check out date, which wasn't outside of my expectations. Just outside the room is a water dispenser, with both cold and hot water. I lived rougher, but the persistent badsmell is unhealthy.

The electricity cutoffs for two days without AC without wifi and without power to charge the phone , its not the hostel fault because they tried to charge our phone till the electricity back but it was a bad experience for me

The owner was very kind, even though it was past check-out time, they still let me continue charging.

Clean and the staff come every day to clean. No windows but a fan and aircon available. A bit of a squeeze but understandable for the price. Your roommates make or break your experience and I was lucky to have great ones. Dont expect too mych but youll have the basics and the location is VERY convenient. Train is right outside, great places to shop and affordable food spots nearby. The photo is of the vibrant shopping district outside

Good GueseHouse in Hong Kong's got an awesome location! The room I got was great, super chill near the window. Unfortunately, the bed was tiny. And I got a massage bed with a weird hole at the head. LOL. Sheets were kinda smelly too.

The price matches the stay, and the location is convenient.

Very accommodating and the price of the hotel is cheaper than the other hotels. Near ladies market. Mall, train station, grocery stores etc.

Was not able to cancel booking after my flight was delayed. I booked and immediately needed to cancel for a different day, but they would not accommodate.

Finding a bed in the heart of Hong Kong for just over two hundred for a single room is already a steal. I wasn't expecting anything fancy; just a place where I could sleep without having to take off my clothes. The owner let me choose, and I picked a single room with a window. It was noisy, but at least there was some airflow. This is the authentic, down-to-earth Hong Kong housing experience, and it's something worth trying. It's incredibly close to HSBC and Nathan Road, so I'd definitely consider staying here again for my next budget trip.
