I loved the location of this hotel as it's not in the business district - much more of a local area, and awash with cheap, local eateries and coffee shops, but still just a few minutes walk to the seafront, and with lots of options to travel around the city. Sai Ying Pun MTR is a few minutes walk away, as are the local buses and trams. Coming from the airport, there is a direct bus, the A10, which drops you off less than 5 minutes from the hotel. The Airport Express Coach and MTR are also options but involve a change so if you have luggage they're not so convenient. The hotel itself is located on several floors, so other than during check-in and the service maids, I didn't encounter any staff. Lifts can get a bit busy, particularly during breakfast and check-out times. I didn't opt for breakfast preferring to eat right outside the hotel at one of the many local restaurants. Staying just before Chinese New Year, I got a great price for three nights, and an amazing harbour view. I'd stay again despite the bathroom/toilet being very cramped. When sitting down my knees touched the bath in front of me. Overall, a great location, good, cheap hotel, and a pleasant stay (although I really used it just to sleep as I was out through the day).

Everything else was fine, except for the service. When I asked the front desk for a blanket, the staff brought it over with a sour face. Then I asked for a pillow, and the staff brought a blanket instead. When I pointed out that we needed a pillow, the staff just turned around and left with another sour face. What kind of service is that? I asked the staff if there was a problem, and they said the front desk told them to bring a blanket. I explained that the front desk made a mistake, but why take it out on the guests? The hotel is located above a wet market, so those who are particular about the environment should be aware. If you turn right twice after exiting the hotel, you'll reach the tram terminus. Turning right after exiting the hotel also leads to a bus stop where you can take bus 110 directly to West Kowloon Station, which is more convenient than taking the MTR or transferring buses. The family room on the 28th floor offers a great night view. The front desk staff were generally friendly. Reminders: Disposable toiletries are not provided. You'll need a universal adapter. The room has one or two USB ports, but it might not be enough.

This hotel's biggest plus is its location. It's really close to Jordan Station and Tsim Sha Tsui, and you can even walk to West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station and Harbour City. It's super convenient for shopping and getting around, with tons of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. However, the room is quite small, and charging and boiling water aren't very convenient. The cleanliness is decent. It's fine for a solo traveler, but I imagine it would be too cramped for more people. Given the premium on space in Hong Kong, it offers good value for money.
