Waikiki Malia

The room design is quite poor; the room door and bathroom door almost hit each other. The bathroom is huge but completely unusable, while the rest of the room feels cramped. Housekeeping only comes every two days, and by then, the trash can is overflowing. The bedding consists of two sheets wrapped around a blanket, but the blanket often ends up directly on you while sleeping, and it always feels dirty and a bit off-putting. The upside is the excellent location – you can walk downstairs to popular noodle shops, supermarkets, Target, the beach, and car rental places in the city center.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach. My daughter and I stayed for a few nights and were generally satisfied. As for value for money, it's not really there, but hotels in Hawaii are generally not cheap.

The hotel's location is great. Even though it's not beachfront, it's super convenient for exploring Kalakaua Avenue and a short walk to the beach. The room didn't come with toiletries or slippers. The parking garage has multiple levels, but one night when we returned after 10 PM, there were no spots left, so we had to park in a mall partnered with the hotel.

Everything was great except for the low floor allocation – being on the 6th floor near Kuhio Avenue, it was a bit noisy. I've stayed at the Marriott and Hyatt near Waikiki in the past two years, but if your main purpose is to go out and explore, this Waikiki Malia is really good value for money. It's more convenient for dining and shopping, plus the parking garage is integrated with the hotel, which is reassuring. The pool is small, but it's perfect for kids who are just learning to swim, almost like a dedicated children's pool. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the service overall was excellent.

The hotel's location is excellent, with shopping malls, convenience stores, and restaurants everywhere nearby. It's also just a few minutes away from Waikiki Beach, which is super convenient. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean, and the service is great too.

The location is great! It's situated on a commercial street just two blocks from Waikiki Beach, so it's super close to the ocean. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so you'll never have to worry about finding a place to eat. The cleanliness and service were also top-notch; the staff were very warm and attentive. The environment is lovely, and there's even a bubble pool on the first floor to enjoy. The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy at night with the street traffic, but having a small balcony to enjoy the view more than makes up for it! It's just so convenient, and the price is reasonable too!

The location is super convenient! The W line from the airport takes you directly here, and there are buses to all the attractions. It's also just a 10-minute walk from the Hilton. The room was spacious and even had a small round table for dining. The downsides are that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak and the hot water temperature was unstable.
