Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

Positive: The Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa is conveniently located 2 blocks away from the Waikiki Beach within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. My room has a balcony towards the mountain. Guests can see the beach by the elevator. Guest can also rent a beach chair for free which is a plus. Not all hotels offer that. On 10th floor, there is a swimming pool. Several bus lines near by. I went to Chinatown and Pearl Harbor riding bus. Hotel staff are generally helpful. Not so positive: hotel gives 2 bottle water to guests, but they don’t give to guests booked through 3rd party like trip.com. Hotel business center printer was broken. Surrounding: More homeless people than I expected. Some of them are aggressive asking money at a nearby ABC store. Hotel is older, an update would be nice. I would recommend for the convenience, near the Waikiki beach, restaurants and shops, and free beach chair.

Great location just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Generally good experience although the property is slightly worn and food options, while okay, were limited. Biggest problem was the WiFi. It was very erratic, dropping out repeatedly which was frustrating and annoying. I was told they had just upgraded the Wi-Fi but it was one of the poorer major hotel chain Wi-Fi connections I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. It was also slightly irritating that they couldn’t extend my checkout, even for 1/2 hour without charging me a half day room rate.

Lovely hotel very close to the Waikīkī beach. I think every room comes with balcony which is great. Car rental located in a hotel next door.

The hotel is nice for the price of low $223 but they charge $45 per day of activity fees but I never used. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the central Waikiki area but is OK. The breakfast buffet is good and includes in the room package. The only problem is that they only have valet parking for $60 per day. It took them 45 minutes in the morning to get my car down on day 1 and we missed the tour. The other days were 10 to 15 minutes. I guess they don’t have enough parking so they have to double park and triple park. I tried to park at the adjacent Banyan lot but all full after 8pm. There are no other viable option other than valet parking in the hotel.
