"The Hotel is a little overpriced for the condition of the facility. The room was clean and smelled fresh but the carpet and furniture had a lot of stains. The bathroom could use some drywall repair and the tub had unsightly rust stains around the faucet area. The free breakfast was not very appetizing but there is a Sonic within site of the hotel. On a positive note, the desk clerk was very nice and JJ her ”assistant” was very pleasant."

Get away from it all at Firefly Cottage, a charming three bedroom, two bath lake front cottage. Located in a gated, lakeside community only 7 miles from the historic downtown Granbury square, this cottage and its charming decor are sure to help you create treasured memories with family and friends.
Nestled under a canopy of trees on a quiet cul-de-sac, Firefly Cottage offers beautiful, serene views of the water and stunning sunsets. My home is located on a quiet private cove just off the main body of Lake Granbury. The property boasts a large, partially covered boat dock that will easily accommodate the whole family. There is a fenced yard with plenty of space to run around, which is ideal for our guests that like to include their furry family members. Up to two dogs are welcome with the completed pet addendum and $50 pet fee.
In addition to a rope swing, which is a great way to launch into the refreshing waters of the lake, there is also a paddle boat which our guests can use to explore and fish the private cove. Launch your boat or jet skis for free at the community marina. Our dock has a strap style boat lift for guests that bring their own boat and a separate lift, which holds our paddle boat or can accommodate 2 jet skis.
Relax on the porch or covered boat dock while fishing and listen to the soothing sounds of nature. There is a variety of wildlife, including hummingbirds, ducks, geese, cormorants, & great blue herons. In mid to late February, each year, we have pelicans that visit our cove before they proceed on their migration North, making it one of my favorite times of the year.
Rain or shine, you can still enjoy the outdoors under the covered wrap-around porch, which is home to a hand-crafted family style table that seats up to ten. While you hang out or grill your dinner on the porch, enjoy a game of bags (corn hole), giant Jenga, or Connect Four. In the evenings, gather chairs around the firepit and roast marshmallows for smores and enjoy the star filled skies.
Firefly Cottage has three bedrooms:
1) The Master bedroom houses a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. 2) The Kid's Room has a queen-size bed, located next to the Master bedroom and close to the kitchen.
3) The third bedroom, called the Lake View Room, features a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom and has bay windows that look out over the lake.
There is a lovely window lined sunroom with a dining table for 8.
The French doors give views of the lake, patio and dock. There is also a small sofa for additional comfy seating. This is the perfect place to enjoy some family game nights as well. We have a good selection of family friendly games and puzzles to enjoy.
The living room has a full-size pull-out sleeper sofa that will accommodate sleeping for two. There are additional fresh linens in the closet in the living room, and towels, toilet paper, and hair dryers are provided in each bathroom. My kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, silverware, cooking/baking supplies, spices, and about every appliance you can think of. Amenities also include a washer, dryer, iron & ironing board.
Firefly Cottage offers high-speed wireless internet. This makes us a great option for folks who are interested in “staycationing”. If you’re going to work from home, why not do it from the lake?! For your indoor entertainment we provide streaming services (Netflix, Hulu+, Disney+ & ESPN+) for the 4 televisions. Local channels can be viewed on Hulu.

A tiny home for a couple focused get away. Cozy, country respite for two in a quiet neighborhood. No street lights or sidewalks. Just grass, and a little red Texas dirt sprinkled with a few June Bugs in the summer. Prepare to see the stars at night and maybe a few deer munching on the raspberry bushes in the front yard. Washer and dryer, refrigerator has ice maker, self cleaning oven and a microwave will be at your fingertips. But you will be roughing it without a dishwasher.

A one bedroom tiny home with a full bathroom. A kitchen, living room, eating area combo space with a smart Tv with Roku mounted on the wall. Bedroom offers a queen size bed with a walk-in closet that houses the washer and dryer. Upstairs spacious loft has a full size bed. Ceiling is low…approximately 4 ft high.

The Space
This spacious newly renovated 4 bedroom 3 bath home provides sleeping for up to 12 guests. The main house has 3 king bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a separate unit with the game room, a full bath and 2 queen beds. The modular couches in the family room and game room can be arranged to be double beds.

For liability reasons, we do not allow unregistered guests anywhere on premises without prior host approval. This includes day guests even if they do not spend the night.
We do NOT allow parties.
We do not offer cable or satellite TV. Guests may sign in to their own streaming services. Antenna is available for local channels.
We ask that children not be allowed to take food out of the kitchen/dining area to prevent spills and stains on the furniture.
Do not put sanitary products or wipes into the toilet, and do not put food or grease down the drain!
No smoking on property. $500 fee per occurrence, and guests will be asked to leave immediately.
The indoor fireplace is electric and operated by remote control. There is a heat function as well. Guests may not remove electric insert. Wood burning fires are not permitted inside.
There are 2 kayaks, 2 inflatable paddle boards and 1 paddle boat available for our guest usage. Life jackets, paddles and inflatable paddle boards are in the storage bin next to the griddle.
Guests assume all liability associated with the use of the paddle boards, paddle boat, kayaks, dock and amenities throughout the property. The water level at the dock fluctuates, so please no diving.
There is a community boat dock located to the left side of the house. The gate to the dock has a lock. Please let us know if you are bringing your boat or jet ski so we can provide key to the gate.
Quiet time 10PM-8AM.
Tampering with or disabling outdoor cameras/doorbell will result in being asked to leave immediately without refund.
Please notify host of any damage
Ensure all streaming services are logged out prior to leaving.
Please place used dishes in the dishwasher and start before departing.

The Space
This spacious newly renovated 4 bedroom 3 bath home provides sleeping for up to 12 guests. The main house has 3 king bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a separate unit with the game room, a full bath and 2 queen beds. The modular couches in the family room and game room can be arranged to be double beds.

(Please note that guest is responsible for refilling the propane tank for the grill when it is empty.)
Bring your boat and your fishing gears! Our private covered dock has a boat bay, picnic table with benches and fishing lights.

For liability reasons, we do not allow unregistered guests anywhere on premises without prior host approval. This includes day guests even if they do not spend the night.
We do NOT allow parties.
We do not offer cable or satellite TV. Guests may sign in to their own streaming services. Antenna is available for local channels.
We ask that children not be allowed to take food out of the kitchen/dining area to prevent spills and stains on the furniture.
Do not put sanitary products or wipes into the toilet, and do not put food or grease down the drain!
No smoking on property. $500 fee per occurrence, and guests will be asked to leave immediately.
The indoor fireplace is electric and operated by remote control. There is a heat function as well. Guests may not remove electric insert. Wood burning fires are not permitted inside.
There are 2 kayaks, 2 inflatable paddle boards and 1 paddle boat available for our guest usage. Life jackets, paddles and inflatable paddle boards are in the storage bin next to the griddle.
Guests assume all liability associated with the use of the paddle boards, paddle boat, kayaks, dock and amenities throughout the property. The water level at the dock fluctuates, so please no diving.
There is a community boat dock located to the left side of the house. The gate to the dock has a lock. Please let us know if you are bringing your boat or jet ski so we can provide key to the gate.
Quiet time 10PM-8AM.
Tampering with or disabling outdoor cameras/doorbell will result in being asked to leave immediately without refund.

Ensure all streaming services are logged out prior to leaving.

Stunning lakefront home is an amazing hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Located on a quiet cove off of the main body, your views of sunrises are amazing! 3 miles from downtown Granbury, you are away from it all yet a short ride to shopping, dining and the Granbury town square. Go for a kayak trip-- there are plenty of wetlands and a small island to explore. 5 single kayaks and one double. Sit on the porch and sip some coffee or a cocktail, there are plenty of fans to keep you comfy in the summer. Hot tub new this year!Read in the deep library chairs with a lake view! Tons of board games. Huge table seats 10, excellent for art retreats or large dinners! Lots of seating and plenty of room to spread out. Water is around 7 feet deep at the end of the dock, so last one in is a rotten egg! Speaking of rotten eggs, this entire area is serviced by well water and house water can have a sulphur smell. All measures taken to lessen it with various water treatments, but it can still be noticeable! Kitchen with all amenities, 12 cup coffee pot, Keurig, espresso maker, electric griddle, blender, full use of french door refrigerator and more. Amazing master bathroom shower lends a true spa like atmosphere. Pack n'play for infants or small children, kids utensils,toys and coloring books to keep them busy! 5 kayaks are provided along with multiple sizes of life jackets. Bring your own floats and sit out in the water all day! Truly a paradise here in Texas. Close to DFW, less than an hour from Fort Worth and so many other day trip destinations such as Glen Rose and Waco. Good fishing off of the dock so bring your poles. Boat launch is a 30 second drive if you bring your boat or jet skis! Local grocery at the end of the road for last minute shopping.
