I came to the groomer to pick up my dog. I had some time so I went to the pub for a coffee. Inside it was beautiful, clean, and the staff greeted us at the door with a smile. I had another dog with me and it turned out that the pub is dog friendly. The dog got cakes and water, and we ordered coffee. I love coffee, and this one was strong and delicious. We ordered a cake. My cheesecake was delicious. I bake it myself at home, and this one was like homemade with a lot of fruit sauce and ice. Divine cheesecake. My partner's brownie was also delicious. I recommend it and I will be a frequent guest here. Thank you

Great Pub, Great Atmosphere. The staff was very nice and helpful. Food is amazing, we have visited for fish and chips on a Friday and also for the roast on a Sunday, they use good quality meats, fish and its so tasty. I would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area and even if you are not its worth the travel.

!!!WARNING : DO NOT GO HERE!!! We attended an engagement party yesterday in this beautiful venue, started off brillriant, the staff were lovely. But about 9.50pm the bar had an incident in which there till system crashed, from this point onwards everything went down hill. They stopped serving instantly, refused to serve anyone else, yet the marquee was booked till 12. There was an assistant manager working the night who didnt want to take on the responsibility on taking cash or card payments without putting it through the till machine, and even refused to open a tab on one of the party guests room. At this point the manager also made a comment that if the system was to come back on she would still refuse to serve anyone. The assistant manager was in contact with who we have been told is the director of the pub, name is Chris. Now Chris is the true underlying problem in all this. He was not one bit helpful to the assistant manager nor to us in getting a reasonable solution. Us customers asked for a refund on the night in which was refused, we then asked to speak to the director face to face which was planned for this morning with slight confusion on the time, when we finally arrived. Chris (director) had already left. We then proceed to phone Chris to get this situation resolved, which his first response being "you have ruined my Sunday morning". Once again we asked for a refund of the venue as to our understanding a verbal agreement was made that the booking would be from 7pm to 12am in which half of this time the bar was not open due to the technical problem. Our friends were then informed that the booking wasn't a valid booking as according to the processes they only hire the marquee out from 7pm to 11pm unless paying additional amount for extended hours to 1am. Chris was blaming us for not properly booking the venue. Chris, thats your fault not customers. how are we supposed to know the processes. That is a venue management responsibility. our friends did not recieve an invoice. they also could partially recieve money back but was now refused on the bases the booking is invalid. Chris was extremely rude and dismissive and came across passive aggressive towards us and lied to us on multiple occasions. Due to the unprofessional attitude of Chris sadly something so important like our friends engagement party , a night that should've been amazing, was ruined! Sort it out.

Vegans do NOT eat here - simply because you can’t. Checked prior to booking on their website that there was a vegan menu and there was with various items on so booked a table for Sunday lunch. Turned up and got put in a freezing cold marquee. Menus arrived and asked if there was a vegan menu and the waitress said she doesn’t think there is one. She went off to check and never came back. Another waitress arrived to take our order and I asked again about the vegan menu and she said there isn’t one. I said there is one on their website and she said she doesn’t think the website has been updated. There was an option on the standard menu for vegan roast and to ask - so asked about this and they said they didn’t have it. I can’t believe at 12 on a Sunday that they had sold out of a nut roast. Clearly no planning ahead. Walked out with zero apologies from any staff. Shocking service and very upset children as having to leave. Would not return!!!!!

Our friends had booked a private room for a post funeral wake. Despite being given an approximate time of arrival and the church being directly opposite the pub nothing was ready for the guests. It took almost 40 minutes before some food and drinks were available and then the food came out in dribs and drabs, not a very good advert for the place.

8 separate rooms away from pub and looks by rear garden. Room 7 was ok but needs updating and carpets dirty. Felt clean enough but shower put us off using it. Ridiculous kettle you cant fill in small sink. Blinds set low so little light inside. Pretty basic with very little space,
