Crowne Plaza HOUSTON MED CTR-GALLERIA AREA by IHG

Nicely appointed clean rooms. Excellent service and parking garage is good albeit expensive. Food is ok but nothing special. Beside a busy motorway (no noise) but not much ambiance. Nice neighborhood on the back side though. Can recommend Slowpoke cafe just a 5 minute walk away

The rooms were clean and the staff was nice but the hotel itself has issues. You can tell from the retro fitted outlets it’s an older hotel that’s been renovated. When we arrived one of the elevators were block off & broken down but 3 others were working. Our first night the air conditioning unit in half of the hotel went out and we woke up at 4:30 with our room 80 degrees and humid. They did move us to another room for the rest of our stay, so that was acceptable. It was a rough start but overall a pleasant experience.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Easy to get to with a car. Close to the university and to some great eating spots, like Pinkertons. Staff members were lovely, like Tank. Breakfast is good there too.
