La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Bush IAH South

The Hotel Room is great, location is great. Hot Water for the shower needed to wait for average 5-10 minutes until it was warm enough. Gym facility is great. Elevator is horrible as it can only fit 2-3 people and sometime would not operate so we had to take the stairs to level 5. I think it really needs to be upgraded ASAP as it is a safety risk and you are just waiting for a safety incident to happen anytime. I have attached a picture of the really old elevator. Staff friendliness was average - some were helpful some did not even smile. Breakfast was OK but was same menu daily - need a bit of variation if possible. Need more working laundry machines and if possible add coin changers located at the laundry room itself (level 3) so we don't need to go to the front desk (level 1) to exchange quarters all the time. Another option that I see in some countries is that the laundry machine can tap the payment card on them. Perhaps something to look in to for better improvement. Overall I can say my grade is 3.5/5 for the hotel.

Great location only 5 minutes drive to airprot. Breakfast included and good for value.

I stayed for 4 nights and they had to change my room on the third day because there were cockroaches in the bathroom, the refrigerator, the microwave and the nightstand. However, the next room also had the same problem, a little less so, but there were still more cockroaches.

Free shuttle to airport was my main reason for staying here. Room however was extremely smelly as they let pets stay in the rooms. I raised this with the duty manager and emailed but have received no response to date over a month later.

Great place so high on price but horrible food breakfast it's free yes but it's like dog food. From a military person I had better. Cheep food. I would not recommend this hotel.
