Chom View Hotel, Hua Hin

Very poor hospitality. Staff seem hesitant to communicate with guests—you always have to approach them first. We arrived early, around 1 PM, and our room was not ready, so we went to the pool and ordered snacks and drinks. Prices were extremely high, even compared to some 5-star hotel restaurants, but the service was disappointing. When I ordered a beer, the staff simply placed the can in front of me without even offering a glass. The room felt like an old apartment rather than a hotel room. When you check inn finally we realize that we made wrong arrangements. Overall, the staff did not seem to care about guests. During checkout, we waited about 30 minutes for clearance. The front desk staff didn’t update us; they were busy talking among themselves. I had to go back to reception to ask, and only then they said everything was cleared. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I don’t want to demotivate anyone, but the hotel staff really need to improve their service. At the moment, the hospitality feels below zero and should at least reach a basic acceptable standard.

Hotel Facilities so bad and run-down. Swimming pool tiled floor is broken and my daughter got the small cut on her leg that so bad. Front receptionist is not good at all. The shower has low water pressure. The doors won't open. Finally if you request another towel they will have additional charge for 50 bath per 1 towe.l

Excellent location on the beach and close to the night market with convenient parking. We were in the building furtherest back from the beach (about 100m) but the pathway there was nice. At 1st, the room we were in (504A) and its amenities seemed a bit old but with a couple of upstairs rooms with enough beds for 6 people in total, 2 toilets and 2 large balconies, it was excellent value for money. Negatives: The rooms were nice and clean except for a bit of dust on top of the wardrobe (only noticeable if you’re over 6ft tall) and the couch had a few stains. The electronic key cards didn’t work at 1st which is always frustrating, especially when it takes time to go to reception and back to the room, the weather is really hot and you have a baby. The worst thing that needs to be mentioned, is the elevator doors for our particular building, had a crush hazard. Later I noticed the sign but one’s instant reaction to elevator doors prematurely and unexpectedly closing is to put your arm between them. On a last positive note, the massage service by the pool and ocean was reasonably priced and most enjoyable especially in the evening when it’s a bit cooler and you can hear the waves rolling in.

If you want a quiet lifestyle Only with beach & night markets, also far from other crowded famous attractions, then this hotel is for you. It is situated at Ta Giap region and also directly joined with beach, walkable sea shores, Nice view, not too crowded compared to Hua Hin and Cha-an beaches. The problem is rooms are quite old-fashioned and NOT quite as new as shown in photos but livable. There are 2 things I like about rooms; 1) Clean 2) quiet. Breakfast is not bad although tastes are quite blended. Although Staffs are friendly, they are not very helpful and there’s nothing much they can do when concerning with rooms problem. Overall, I would rate as average.

The hotel was in a great location within walking distance to night markets. The hotel itself was dated and needs renovation, breakfasts were also but lack choices. Overall for it was good value for the money.
