InterContinental Hua Hin Resort

Coming from China where I'm used to highly automated, brand-new hotels, this place felt a bit dated. The whole hotel is quite small; you can walk around it in no time. Maybe I'm just used to the large resort hotels in Sanya. The housekeeping was a bit rough, there was dust all over the speaker in the room. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. I don't know who said it was good, it's really just average. Not many choices, and the bread was especially mediocre. The Thai milk tea wasn't even as good as what you get at 7-Eleven. The noodle station was decent, and the à la carte eggs were okay, but I'd suggest not eating here every day, there are so many good places outside. The best part is definitely the location. Bluport shopping mall is right across the street, and it has lots of great food options, plus a Big C supermarket and a food court on B1, so there's something for every budget. The service was also excellent. Every staff member I met was smiling and actively helped resolve any issues. Big kudos to them! 👍

The overall experience met our expectations. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The hotel's mini-train is a unique feature, running daily from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, every half hour. The kids absolutely loved riding it. Hotel guests get one free admission to Vana Nava Water Jungle (which is located at Holiday Inn, another hotel within the same group). A driver provides complimentary transfers, but remember to top up your wristband at reception for park entry, as lockers and other food/beverages are extra. The hotel has a kids' club, which was smaller than expected and not very engaging, but they do occasionally offer special activities like crafts for an additional, reasonable fee. Compared to other hotels of a similar standard, the breakfast wasn't particularly impressive; the variety was limited, and the offerings were mostly repetitive day-to-day. The hotel beach wasn't great, but that's typical for Hua Hin, so it was as expected.

The environment is decent, and it's quite close to the night market.

An amazing experience! The pool has direct access to the beach, and the hotel front desk can arrange a shuttle to the water park, which includes complimentary tickets. The breakfast also tasted fantastic! There's also a cute mini-train that runs every half hour, a favorite with the kids. Remember to try the horseback riding on the beach; the staff wear uniforms with identification numbers, making it safe and trustworthy.
