We arrived at 9pm a bit anxious it would be too late, but the reception was still open and we were welcomed with a big smile. The receptionist had no English but managed to use his online translation device and it was fine. The hotel is small and tastefully decorated and the room itself was very nice with modern appliances and a nice brand new bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was basic with only Chinese food, as often in this kind of places, but for the price, we can’t complain ! And we had an extra coffee in a lovely place in the village, near the stream. The hotel is conveniently located, only 4km away from Huangshan Bei train station and is easily reached by DiDi for a very small fee. The location is great and we enjoyed our morning walk along the stream in this cute little village before heading to the mountains. Not to be missed and much better than staying near the train station in my opinion. We had no issue at calling another Didi to go to the mountains directly from the hotel. Overall, a well priced but very clean, friendly and modern place to stay. I recommend it.

This B&B exceeded expectations. It's right on the village road. You can drive right up to the door, so you don't have to carry your luggage around looking for it. It's very convenient. The B&B is new and well-equipped. There's a washing machine and a balcony. The room is spacious, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide view of the fields and blue sky in the distance. The bathroom has a window and is clean and hygienic. The air conditioning is powerful and cools down quickly. There are many potted plants in the yard, a small vegetable garden, and a small pavilion. It's very pleasant to sit there day and night. I was very lucky to see seven meteor showers while watching the stars in the yard at night. If I stayed in a B&B in the village, I might not be able to see such a vast starry sky. The owner is very friendly and there is a shuttle service. It's really a treasure B&B. I'll come again next time I have the chance.

The most satisfying thing about this trip to southern Anhui was the two-night stay in a B&B elsewhere. It was clean and comfortable, and the newly renovated toilet and curtains were also smart. The courtyard was very well tidy. Several friends brought their children to follow the boss's daughter to feed the fish and play with the dog. They ran around the courtyard and played with the little sister for two days and didn't want to leave. We adults played mahjong in the chess and card room and almost forgot the purpose of this trip, haha. In the evening, I rode the boss's electric donkey to buy lobsters to eat in the lobby restaurant. The boss was very honest and let us take the drinks for free. It's only a ten-minute walk from the Xixi South Ancient Village and it's also close to Huangshan North Station. I'm very satisfied. I will recommend it to friends who are going there.
