I came to Chengkan to see the fish lanterns and found this guesthouse online. It's an old house from the Qing Dynasty, and I immediately fell in love with it. The owner added me on WeChat beforehand to explain everything and sent very detailed picture guides for directions. Since I was traveling alone and the streetlights at the alley entrance were off after I watched the fish lanterns at night, the owner kept checking in on me and told me he'd come pick me up personally no matter where I was if I couldn't find my way back. Oh my goodness, it's such a lucky break to meet such a wonderful owner while traveling! I'll definitely come back next time!

I contacted the owner 5 minutes in advance and they picked me up at the scenic spot entrance. They even helped me with my luggage and checked me in. Since it was raining and there weren't many people, they upgraded our room for free. The room was clean and tidy, and the proprietress was super enthusiastic, telling us all about the attractions. It's a bit of a shame we didn't get to see a performance, but I'll definitely be back. Looking forward to staying here again next time!

The owner is incredibly kind. The facilities are excellent and very complete. The ambiance is charmingly antique, with a distinct Huizhou architectural style. There are also two little cats and a dog, all super cute and friendly! The room is very quiet, giving it a secluded, 'Shangri-La' feel. The deep courtyards, the misty willows, and countless curtains – all those poetic descriptions pale in comparison to what you can truly experience and see right here.

The room is nice, the boss is also very nice, there is a cute little dog, although breakfast is not included, the boss also gave a bag of specialty biscuits before departure, the location is also easy to find, I will go to Chengkan again if I have the chance in the future~

The hotel is in the scenic area. Tell the owner in advance and he will pick you up by bike. The hotel is very quaint and gives you the feeling of traveling back in time to ancient times. There is a particularly cute and clingy little dog. The boss and the boss's wife are very kind and will generally meet any needs. When you go to a restaurant in the village to eat, the proprietress will lead the way. It is quite winding inside, so if you are particularly directionally challenged, it is recommended that you bring a friend who knows the way or find a guide in the village. If you meet a kind-hearted guide, she will chat with you and introduce you to the attractions.

Very good, clean, with disposable toilet seats, the owner allowed a late check-out. It's cheaper to buy tickets from the boss.

The moment you push open the carved door, the years pour down like golden fragments. The mossy brick walls are a solidified epic, and in every crack lies the sound of wind from a hundred years ago. The copper lock whispers in the moonlight, the morning and evening reflected by the window lattices are eaten away by insects, and the scent of sandalwood and old book pages lingers between the beams and pillars, like the lingering soul of an old friend. The dormant moss on the tiles suddenly came alive, blurring into ink-painted mountains and rivers on rice paper. At this moment, I am a traveler who has strayed into the folds of history, lying on a sandalwood couch eroded by time, listening to the moonlight flowing like a river on the blue brick ground. The old house stretches its bones under the stars, weaving my breath into its long memory, just like all the dust and starlight that have stayed here for hundreds of years.
