UPCLOUD SHUGUANGLI VILLA

This villa, located opposite Beihai Hotel, clearly aims to be more than just a guesthouse, and in terms of its overall setting, it generally delivers. With only 17 rooms, the design feels quite relaxed and airy. The flower arrangements primarily use kenzan (pin frogs), and the tableware is a blend of Song-dynasty and Japanese styles. Perhaps because it was during the New Year period, the food quality was decent, but not particularly remarkable, and the prices were on the higher side. The complimentary fruit was mediocre, and the welcome gift felt rather perfunctory, not really living up to the hotel's positioning. However, the quality of the butlers was excellent, and I'd like to commend them for that.

The location is excellent, right near the main attractions yet surprisingly quiet. The cabins are warm and cozy. What really impressed me was how attentive all the staff were to guests' needs. While I was sitting in the yard enjoying the sun, tea and snacks were brought out without me asking. I casually mentioned I hadn't seen the sea of clouds, and a staff member remembered! A little while later, they informed me that the sea of clouds had appeared and urged me to go see it. Staying two nights allowed for a relaxed itinerary, and I got to experience the sunrise, sunset, and the sea of clouds.

This hotel truly offers an exceptional experience, especially considering its mountaintop location! The front desk staff, a lovely young lady, was incredibly helpful and even brought me a foot bath. The dinner was delicious, and they also provided a complimentary white fungus soup. Definitely a five-star review!

The hotel's location is excellent, and the room is very comfortable. It's a great choice for a night's stay on the mountain top. The butler service was also very thoughtful and attentive, and my family was very satisfied.

The underfloor heating and air conditioning in the room kept it very warm at night, and dinner was delicious too. For families with older children, I'd suggest getting an extra bed or a family room.

While the price was a bit steep, the experience was absolutely worth every penny – it's hard to believe such a high-quality hotel exists on the summit of Huangshan! First, the butler contacted me in advance to remind me about buying tickets, hiking up the mountain, and arranged for a porter to carry our luggage from the cable car station, which saved us a lot of effort. The butler guided us all the way, making it very easy to find the hotel. Its location is excellent, right next to 'Dream Brush Flower,' opposite Beihai Hotel, and not far from the cable car. Upon arrival, they invited us to the common area for tea and snacks and helped us plan our itinerary. The hotel room facilities are fantastic. The floor heating kept us warm, the Bose speaker was impressive, and there was even a leg massager that my daughter absolutely loved – she wouldn't get off it after hiking! The cleanliness was excellent; the bedding was spotless and dry, and the room was quite spacious. There was also Huangshan Maofeng tea and Qimen black tea in the room. In the evening, we could soak our feet, drink tea, and listen to music, which was truly delightful! Dinner was also superb. We ordered the set menu, and all the ingredients were very fresh. My daughter, who usually doesn't like fish, even ate the entire salmon – the quality was outstanding! Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was excellent and fragrant! You could easily spend a whole day here, slowly enjoying tea and relaxing. It's a shame we didn't see the rime or the sea of clouds this time, but I'll definitely be back!
