Hotels in Shuangyue Bay, Huidong

The resort is located about 50 minutes from Huidong South train station. Check in was smooth because we came midweek of the Golden Week holiday. We had a pool and sea view Family room with breakfast and other amenities included. They had quite a few pools in the water park area, the beach was closed off for most of our stay, supposedly a typhoon nearby. There’s a skyline pool, KTV, indoor playground, billiards, archery, table tennis, billiards all for extra fees. It was great the first 2 days!

We had a great time staying at the beautiful Howard Johnson Sandalwoods. The complex is large with many waterslides for young children to play in. However, during winter season most of the pools are closed. The beach belonging to the hotel is also clean. The breakfast spread is fantastic, with a good mixture of chinese and western cuisine. Mina the receptionist manager was very helpful in granting us special checkout extension till 3.30pm as my sister was feeling unwell during checkout and need more time to rest. I will definitely be back again and bring my children along.

Very comfortable, a hotel with quite an atmosphere and personality. All rooms face the sea, and the parent-child room you booked has a 270-degree view, plus a large bathtub, which is perfect. The room projection is also great for watching movies. The electric curtains and screens make the room more intelligent. The mattress is moderately soft and hard. I like it. The towels are thick and absorbent. The hotel supplies are of high quality. The room is hygienic. The hotel is also very good. This is a hotel that is very suitable for a lazy vacation. The breakfast in the seat is quite exquisite, and it is quite pleasant to dine facing the full sea. As an extra point, the new energy vehicle came with a hotel-style charging package. Stop at night, plug in the charger, notify the housekeeper, and the car will be fully charged the next day. The service is cordial and warm, without being overly intrusive. It is a resort hotel that you will come back to again.

The B&B is in a good location. The sea is right downstairs. The beach does not have as much garbage as expected and is relatively clean. It is much better than the public beach next to it. You can pick up hermit crabs when you retreat, and you can use a shovel to dig out small crabs in the small holes on the beach in the morning. You can drink ice cream and coffee on the first floor of the hotel. If your children's pants are dirty, there is an all-in-one washing and drying machine in the lobby. Parking is also convenient. But there are also some problems, that is, the service awareness and level of the employees are still far behind the hotel. The children's butter in the public refrigerator on the second floor can be taken home by employees by mistake. The key is that they are afraid that others will take it by mistake, so the signs are very clear. This is all wrong, I don’t know if it’s true or not. Another big problem is that the room is soundproofed. There is no way around it because the surrounding environment is noisy. After all, in a seaside tourist place, the sound of music and firecrackers is understandable. However, the soundproofing in the building is not good. You can hear the conversations next door, and the sound of toilet flushing water rushing in the pipes is very clear. It may be okay during the day, but it is very clear when sleeping at night. The combination of internal and external noise makes it difficult. When falling asleep, if you sleep well and are not afraid of noise, it doesn't matter if you can fall asleep immediately if there is a noise. But for someone like me who is afraid of noise, it is not possible. I really can't fall asleep listening to the sound of water rushing in different rooms at night, but on the contrary, the sound of the waves is incomparable. Basically inaudible. Another suggestion is that the large bed is 1.8 meters, and a 2-meter bed would be even better. In other aspects everything is still very good and the cleaning is very clean. The last thing I want to say is that there are seafood food stalls on the nearby roadside. I went to a few with high praise rates. It is really not good. If you have a foreign accent, you will really be ripped off. People nearby usually prepare when they hear a foreign accent. To make a one-time deal, relying on the large population base, people don't care.

When we checked in, Xiao Yuan at the front desk upgraded us to a higher-level room and added us on WeChat. If you have any questions, you can ask him directly. It is a very considerate service. There are many check-in slots at the entrance of the hotel. It is enough for you to spend the day while leisurely playing. The hotel With the mountains behind and the sea at its back, it’s a first-class vacation. It has two swimming pools that are great for swimming. The platinum beach is at the intersection. The dining room on the B3 floor has a sea view. The breakfast food is not bad. We had a pleasant holiday here and there was also a meal when we checked in. There was a fruit plate and a small gift when I left. I will definitely come back when I have time.

Brand new hotel, with nice green gardens. The rooms are modern and well equipped. Direct access to the sea, even though it is not allowed to swim. The swimming pool is not so big, but not crowded, knowing that the biggest part is kept for kayak rental. The staff at the lobby and the restaurant is kind, but the lifeguards not so much. The breakfast buffet is good, with Western food, as well as the dinner. Unfortunately, no cocktail at the bars, no room service and very few choices of finger foods. The biggest downside are all the fireworks in front of the hotel, for several hours, even past midnight.

It's definitely not a 5* hotel, so don't expect much. The view is beautiful and breakfasts are more than decent. However, it's pretty much impossible to sleep because of the fireworks that literally never stop. You'd expect people to get tired and go to bed after midnight but no, the only quiet time is between 5am and morning. Well, if you wake up early, then never really. Also, it's the dirtiest beach I've ever seen in my life. So if you are looking for a good swim, look elsewhere. We were lucky to enter the water once during our 5-day stay. It's filthy, like you are swimming in a trash can.

On the first day we arrived, we got a room that couldn't be locked and smelled like fish. The hotel changed our room to the 12th floor. The breakfast is standard local food. Not too many selections. There are McDonald's and other small restaurants nearby. However, we had a bad experience with the cleaners. On the second day, We put the “do not disturb” sign because we don't want the cleaner to come that day. But they cleaned it anyway. On the third day, I was sitting on the balcony, and my husband was in the toilet. Two cleaners came without knocking on the door or ringing the bell. I asked them to leave but they kept checking on things that needed to be cleaned. My husband was furious. The same day, we left the hotel.

Hotel room is nice. Service is good. Bed is comfortable, Beak fast more Chinese breakfast style but still can have toast and coffee. for security matter. Everyone walking by the hotel can enter ti elevator to the guess room easily. Recommend to have security guard or card to excess to the elevator entrance. Also should laundry service and mini refrigerator in the room. Location is nice perfect. In the evening is a lot of fire work on the beach. Beautiful 🎆 🏖 However Still happy to stay here. It takes 20 minutes to walk to eat at the night market, but it is still okay to walk slowly at night.
