Hótel Hvítserkur

The place was a very cosy cottage. Although the toilets and showers were shared but they were very clean and convenient. We also drove to Hvitserkur in the morning which was

Check-in was unorthodox. One of the electrical outlets on the walls falling off of the wall. That made it so I couldn’t charge my cell phone overnight. Otherwise it was fine.

Place was clean but did not have a full bar. The staff was helpful and able to round up some gin to make me a proper drink. Not what I had expected

Quiet location, nearby horses to see across the fence, friendly staff, but description needs to be changed/updated to reflect that dinner is available, not just breakfast. We tried to message the hotel the day before to confirm dinner availability but did not receive a response. I do admit I should have called instead of using Travelocity's method of communication and was sorry to have missed dinner which sounded very good. Also, the hotel is nearly 2k walk to the lake, 9k to Hvitserkur.

Very clean, much better on the inside than outside. Be prepared it is in the middle of no where.

Very comfortable for one night and nice breakfast room and breakfast provided

Remote, no frills accommodation. No complaints

Breakfast was good. Basement smell. Would have been ok we we didn’t get a room in basement.
