Trillium Resort is a great place to stay for a couple of days or longer for excellent R&R (rest and relaxation) surrounded by nature. Booking was very easy and staff welcoming. We stayed two nights in the second week of June 2025 in a cottage, and found the resort to be very friendly and accommodating. Few resort offer breakfast and dinner included. Good selection at breakfast and delicious and very generous three course Dinner choices (Excellent chef!!) in a gigantic post and beam dining area with pretty views. Cottage had everything we needed, bed was very comfortable, watching classic videos was fun as they do not provide cable TV and WIFI probably not strong enough to stream, but email was OK. We did not want to use our "devices" anyway but have a break from it all. Resort was very quiet as early in the season but perfect for us. Bug spray was necessary this time of year, but once applied allowed us to relax on a chair near the lovely beach and chat with other couples couple and one of us to paddle a canoe (one of several unmotorized boats available for use) all around the shoreline = beautiful. After two nights we were totally relaxed and mellow after eating and sleeping very well and able to wander around at our own pace.

The place is nice but not for families. Rooms are very clean. A place to relax and disconnect from the city. Food was okay. The electricity went out couple of times and we were told that it happens quite often at the resort. I enjoyed going to the town of Muskoka a lot.

Visited and stayed here for a weekend wedding. The staff are very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. The facilities and site is beautiful. We stayed on the first weekend in July during a heat wave and some intermittent rain, which seemed to have brought a lot of mosquitos. There's also leeches present in the water so do be mindful when going swimming in the lake. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. The rooms have great sound proofing as the cabin next door were up partying late at night and we didn't hear them at all.

We went here for a wedding, followed by drinks and then dinner. The setting is bucolic and beautiful, and the facilities were generally first rate, though more easily accessible washrooms in the main building would have been welcome. The dinner was good, with both salad and dessert first rate. The main course was less successful: My steak was well done and rather tough. Roast beef would have been better. My wife liked her chicken. We did not stay at the resort, having booked a hotel in nearby Huntsville. Trying to find my way back to our car in the twilight was a bit of an adventure. All in all, however, an enjoyable experience.

Upon first view, this place seems quite nice however under the facade is a dump. The hot tub was disgusting. It looked like human soup. The pool was equally as dirty. My friend possibly got food poisoning and nobody would take accountability for it insisting that all their ingredients were fresh. Obviously they know nothing about cross contamination or the fact that an employee might have been unclean. My friend and I ate the exact same things all day except for 2 items at dinner. She was violently Ill all evening into the morning and even missed breakfast as she was still being sick. There was no apology, no attempt to make amends just denial of anything almost to the point where we felt they were calling us liars. I have travelled all over the world and never experienced a place that wouldn’t even apologize for something being unsatisfactory. In addition the place is advertised as adult only and there was a group of families with kids and babies who yelled and screamed and ran around upsetting multiple guests during mealtimes. We know that one couple was put in a private area so they could have a romantic evening instead of shouting and screaming brats. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their customers.
