Pickalbatros Citadel Resort Sahl Hasheesh

We stayed in a small suite in Building 4 for 3 nights, and the overall experience was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the hotel's scenic environment, service, food, to the planned activities was truly amazing. Three nights just weren't enough. Building 4 is incredibly convenient for accessing all the restaurants, the infinity pool, and the diving lagoon, and the sea view is stunning. Honestly, you can see beautiful sea views from anywhere in the hotel, but convenience really is key. From the moment we checked in, we met Du Fei – I was surprised by how young and handsome he was, and he was exceptionally kind. We encountered wonderful staff with great service at every restaurant, always smiling kindly and chatting with us, even complimenting me! Especially the person in the photo, who was incredibly nice and thoughtful. I think he looks a lot like Carrie's *** best friend (Stanford Blatch) from Sex and the City, haha. He's genuinely a great person, constantly moving between different restaurants – I wonder if he's a manager. If any of you go there after reading my review, please say hi to him for me! The hotel's five restaurants are all incredibly well-thought-out, offering Asian, Turkish, and Italian cuisines. Pay special attention to the food description signs, as they clearly mark characteristic dishes from different countries, allowing you to choose based on your preferences. I found something I loved at every restaurant, all while enjoying beautiful sea views. The fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails were continuously available, as was the ongoing supply of bakery items – so delicious! It truly felt like living the pampered life on a cruise ship; I gained 6 pounds here! The hotel activities are incredibly rich and varied, with a fantastic entertainment team and DJ. I participated in so many activities: yoga, stretching, Zumba... After a few days, the entertainment team even recognized me. The hotel has different special programs on specific days each week, like the pink infinity pool party, beach fire dance show, and theater Zumba. Every day was super busy, moving between my room, restaurants, the infinity pool, and the beach, but also super happy. The hotel offers incredible value for money – beautiful scenery, delicious food, and wonderful service. I will definitely be back again!

This hotel perfectly matches my vision of a beachfront resort. If you don't absolutely need to stay close to the city center, there's no need to even consider the Arabella; just come straight here. The sea view is far superior to city hotels, and the facilities are well-maintained and still feel new. The bed sheets don't pill. The front desk staff can be a bit selective with their service, which is partly due to some Chinese guests always tipping, but if you feel ignored, just confront them directly. It's perfect for a relaxing stay; you can snorkel right at the hotel and see fish and jellyfish by the shore with just a few steps. The overall demographic is younger, which is a nice touch. The restaurant offers typical Western food, but I highly recommend the Asian restaurant to satisfy any Chinese food cravings.

Highly recommend! The scenery is beautiful and the food is great too! This is a really comfortable all-inclusive hotel.

The only downside to this hotel is its location, as it's a bit far out. However, as we were on a month-long self-driving trip across Egypt, this was by far the most enjoyable stay! Everything, from the service to the food and the ambiance, was fantastic. Of course, you shouldn't set a super high bar for the food at an all-inclusive, but their excellent service makes you much more forgiving. (The ice cream and pizza are highly recommended; the Italian restaurant is quite difficult to book, we only managed to get a reservation on our fourth day during our week-long stay.)

Overall, I think it's excellent. The hotel offers plenty of recreational facilities, and there's a good variety of restaurants with decent food. You can actually see corals and fish in the snorkeling area. Recommended!

Staying in Building 4, the room cost 2000 per night, and the overall experience was okay. However, there were some staff members who discriminated against Chinese guests. It's understandable, given the large number of employees. At the coffee bar in the lobby, if a white person ordered coffee, they would bring it to them, but for us, we had to stand there and wait for our coffee!

The room was spacious and clean, especially the shower – it felt like you could fit four or five people in there! After staying in so many hotels over the past few days in Egypt, I finally found one with no hair on the sheets! The facilities were excellent, reminding me of hotels back home. The hotel itself was very chill and felt like a proper vacation spot with beautiful views. We even ran into a local film crew shooting there that night. I stayed in building 4, which was very quiet. The only downside was that the ground floor didn't get much natural light; it felt a bit like a cave without the lights on. The service attitude at the lobby could use some improvement, but the restaurant staff and other staff around the hotel were quite friendly. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back again.

They upgraded us to a family room in Building 4, which was quite close to the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good, not at all what I expected. For breakfast and lunch, there are two main restaurants, and for dinner, there are four. It's true that the cuisine is predominantly 'Western,' with options from Europe, Egypt, Morocco, India, and Southeast Asia. However, don't expect any Chinese, Japanese, or Korean food. The service was excellent as well.
