Masuwe Lodge

Our stay at Masuwe was a wonderful experience. The location next to the national park meant that we saw/heard wildlife throughout our stay. As other travelers have noted, Cassius takes excellent care of guests and coordinates al aspects of your stay so that you don’t have anything to worry about. The staff is warm and accommodating and the grounds are lovely. The view of the watering hole from the dining area was a real highlight- what a treat to observe the animals so closely for so long, especially under the stars. We were sad to leave this lovely place.

We had the most incredible stay at Masuwe Lodge, it truly exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, Cas and his amazing team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The hospitality was outstanding, the food delicious, and the game drives absolutely unforgettable. Every detail was taken care of with such warmth and care. We honestly can’t recommend Masuwe Lodge highly enough and hope to return again soon. Thank you for an experience we’ll never forget!

What a wonderful place. We visited the area to see the falls but got so much more than we expected from our stay at Masuwe Lodge. You are welcomed like family and that continues throughout your stay. Cassius works hard to arrange trips to maximise your stay. The food is excellent, varied and plentiful. The lodges are very comfortable with a lovely verandah. But the star of the show is the dining room looking down on the waterhole. What a special place to watch visiting elephants, buffalo, baboons, Kadoo and giraffe. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful end to an incredible holiday. From the minute we arrived we could not have felt more welcome and relaxed. Sitting drinking tea or a beer overlooking the water hole was a definite highlight - with regular visits from herds of elephant, water buffalo, antelope as well as monkeys, baboons, and warthogs! The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the team friendly. Thank you Cassias, Arnold, Prosper, Margaret, Isaac and the rest of the team for your warm hospitality.

The lodge was a wonderful place to stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. All the activities were well organised. Food was amazing. Highly recommend a stay at Masuwe. The photography was fabulous as you could watch the animals from the deck. I had put images at the end of the review.

Had a GREAT time with Cassius and his crew. I had a group of ten and we can be a lot to handle but they made us feel right at home. Patricia, Vanessa and the chef were all excellent. They made it easy to get safaris scheduled and everything else that we came up with. Kudos to them!

I was warmly welcomed into the Masuwe family on my arrival. The quality accommodation is clean and comfortable and you can relax by the pool, on your private balcony overlooking the bush, or from the deck above the waterhole watching elephant, giraffe, kudu, baboons, cape buffalo and more. The food is delicious and well presented, and is enjoyed whilst watching and listening to the wildlife. What makes Masuwe Lodge special is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Cas calmly organised a schedule to enjoy - Victoria Falls and the Zambezi river are 'must sees', Gary shared his knowledge on a game drive and walking safari, Arnold and Vanessa were good company, and special mention of Isaac's elephant spotting superpower! Thank you all for making my stay so memorable.

I'm not even sure where to begin. My family traveled in Africa for 2 weeks, 3 of those nights we stayed at Masuwe. This place is number 1 on our favorite part of our trip. We were welcomed to Masuwe and told we were family and we truly felt we were. The place is beautiful. The food was amazing and the accommodations were great as well. The lodge has a watering hole that we were able to see animals come and drink from. However if we could give the staff 100 stars we would. They were so friendly and truly made our stay unforgettable. My daughter did not feel well one night so Daisey (the cook) made her a special meal. We were also there for Mother’s Day and they made me feel like a queen! The meal was out of this world. We were very sad to leave and I really can’t put into words how special this part of our trip was. We will definitely stay here again when we return.
