Atto Business Hotel Ichinoseki

The hotel offered excellent value for money. Although it's a budget hotel, it had everything you needed. The design was also different from traditional budget business hotels, being more modern and stylish, with gray and bright yellow as the main colors. After staying one night, I visited Chuson-ji and Motsu-ji temples in Hiraizumi the next day; the transportation was very convenient. By the way, there's a cake shop across from the hotel that's supposedly very famous in Iwate Prefecture, and it was indeed very good!

I stayed here for sightseeing in Hiraizumi (using public transportation). The hotel is about 1km from Ichinoseki Station, but the weather was nice, so I enjoyed a leisurely walk. There's a convenience store nearby, but no restaurants, so I took a slight detour to a Chinese restaurant for dinner before heading to the hotel. It's a business hotel. I stayed in a non-smoking room on the second floor. There's no elevator, so you have to go up the stairs. It's nice that they provide a simple breakfast. There's a bus from Ichinoseki Station to Chusonji Temple (using Iwate Kotsu buses), which is convenient.

It's convenient if you're going by car. There's a parking lot, but it tends to get crowded. There's a standard car charger. Although it's been renovated, the rooms in front of the coin laundry are noisy. Even the non-smoking rooms have a faint smell of smoking rooms. Breakfast is truly minimal. Considering the price, I think it's acceptable.

It's cheaper than hotels around the station. The rooms are small. It's suitable for those who just need a place to sleep. The facilities have been mostly renovated, so there are no major inconveniences, but amenities are limited to a toothbrush and a razor (of poor quality), so bring your own. The mattress isn't a coil spring, so the side facing the aisle (where weight is applied when getting up) sags, and you tend to slide around while sleeping, which wasn't good. Breakfast includes toast, yogurt, potato salad, juice, and coffee. There are no eggs. There were about three standard electric vehicle chargers (6kW). I'm not sure about the price. Even in a non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke permeates the hallway and drifts into your room. It was very unpleasant. They should take measures such as separating rooms by floor. There's a coin laundry, but the noise from nearby rooms is bothersome. You can hear the TV from the next room. Beverages are sold at reasonable prices. Cheaper than convenience stores. The occupancy rate seems high.

The room was generally clean and there were no problems. It was small, but suitable for sleeping alone. The breakfast wasn't very good; it only consisted of toast and yogurt.

As a budget hotel, it was satisfactory. While towels were changed during my extended stay, the sheets weren't, and the toilet seat was cold. However, the Wi-Fi worked, the bed was comfortable, and there was a simple breakfast, so it met all my needs. It was lucky that there were restaurants serving Ichinoseki's famous mochi dishes and a small theater within walking distance.

The hotel reception was very welcoming, and a free Western-style breakfast was provided. There was a 7-Eleven nearby, and a large supermarket (JOIS) and a household goods store (DAISO, similar to a 5-yuan store in China) were within a 12-minute walk. The rooms had en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, bedside lamps, and temporary clotheslines. A microwave and hot water dispenser were available in the lobby. The only downside was the somewhat remote location; driving was recommended.
