The staff at the munnar resort are undoubtedly the heart and soul of this enchanting establishment. Their warm and genuine hospitality made me feel like a cherished guest from the very beginning. Every interaction was characterized by professionalism, attentiveness, and a sincere desire to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

Pros: all balconies with stunning views nice places inside property for a short walk, sit and enjoy scenic beauty staff are very attentive and service oriented and brand new and neat property. Cons: location of property is on a isolated steep mountain, you cannot simply go for a quick walk outside the hotel as it's dangerous, slippery and long away from nearest town center. Also, far away from all munnar tourist spots( to visit a nearest view point and to visit other tourist spots you must come out 18kms and go 18kms while returning) for context, we wanted to roam around town and try local food in the evening so we had to book a cab that costed 1000 for 2 hours as hotel is remote and on a hill. You must book taxi for whole day for 8-10 hours for less expensive and comfortable commute. Food is fresh but tastes less than average and expensive. Though they are giving 20% discount on lunch and dinner ala carte, portion is less than an average indian meal for two. There is no buffet in lunch and dinner too. Definitely not for someone who wants to try regional cuisine. Construction works are head banging and this may not be in future as property is only 5-6 months old. No centralized ac and ac was mounted at least 6 feet away from the bed in a different direction. If you visit on warmer months like us in march, keep all doors closed and curtains drawn, blocking the great view outside and blast ac for throughout the day else you get sweat and don't expect to sleep at nights. In a nutshell, viceroy in ellackal(not munnar) has a great view, good staff and service, average food, poor location and a pathetic property planning.

Once we reached the location, we found that we are very very far away from munnar but the location was in an thich forest area. We booked this only one main reason, which was for tree house experience, which was denied for us. The resort claimed, we didnt book a tree house one instead its a very very basic simple double room. There isnt an option for picking a tree house and nowhere it was mentioned its a simple double room. For the price i paid, its simply not worthy. The only good thing enjoyed was the food, and the team at the restaurant had the smile and provided best customer service. Thanks to them. Please be little cautious with this resort, as there are simple rooms and also tree houses. Please make sure to pick the tree house and not the deluxe room and its not worthy the price they ask, also its completely remote from munnar.

We had a pleasant stay in Pleasant Hill Resort 😉 the food was just amazing and always fresh prepared for us! The service was superior. We booked gorgeous trips nearby and a bit more far away from the hotel to view points for sunset, sunrise and many more. We want to highlight the amazing view from the balcony! The rooms and the pool were clean and get cleaned daily!
