The hotel is located a short ride ahead from the Totolombo Bridge. The entire hotel has a great design, and the staff speaks excellent English, making communication very easy. There's a cafe inside facing the sea and the bridge, where we had afternoon tea, dinner, and lunch. There are also some other cafes nearby, and you can take a free shuttle bus, but we were too lazy to go out. We booked a cottage room that directly faces the bridge and the sea—it was beautiful! The room was also very comfortable. Highly recommended!

The scenery was nice, and the room was clean and tidy, but there were no Chinese introductions, and the entire hotel lacked Chinese signage. The windows weren't heat-insulating either. I hope these improvements will be made next time.

Just as the reviews said, the staff were very polite and we were very happy!!
The sea was close by, the BBQ dinner was delicious, and we had a relaxing day enjoying nature!
We didn't do any cycling or other activities and just stayed overnight, but it was great!!

Absolute surprise, very clean, nice environment, and there is a very delicious Japanese restaurant opposite. The service was very good. The clerk even took us to his orchard to pick lemons and make lemonade.

This is a very good hotel. I didn't stay at the hotel last time when it was fully booked. This time I made a reservation in advance and my husband and son enjoyed our stay. We rode along Shimanami Kaido from Imabari. Due to the hot weather, we started late and arrived at the hotel 2 hours later than scheduled. However, the hotel service staff kept in touch with us frequently after receiving our emails and reminded us of things to pay attention to on night bus routes. Upon arrival, the service staff gave a very warm welcome. The next day was still too hot, so we were sent to Tatara Ohashi Park.
This is a very reassuring hotel that feels like home.
We stayed in the cafe the next day, looking out the window at the sea, sailboats, sunshine, and listening to bossa nova music, everything slowed down.
Thank you for giving us a safe and warm journey.

Cycling overnight, great hotel, but unfortunately the time was short
The perfect sanctuary, especially when you’re riding the Shimanami Kaido as we did. We stayed at the Residence unit for one night but wished it lasted longer. It is a gorgeously designed space with various seating areas - indoor and outdoors - to enjoy a view of the sea and bridge. We were served tea upon arrival and there was a welcome plate of cheese and fruit in our fridge. The bathroom toiletries had the most relaxing spa-like scents, and the pajamas and quilted coats provided for lounging around were very chic and cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a bag of ground coffee and a French press. Meals were exceedingly generous in portions, especially by Japanese standards, and everything was so delicious. We had the winter bouillabaisse for dinner. Breakfast was so plentiful that we ended up packing some of it for a picnic lunch later in the day. Service was wonderful at both the reception and at their restaurant - warm, attentive, and friendly. This was also true of their bike delivery and luggage pickup service. Their staff member who delivered our bikes was kind enough to advise us on the bus service to take at the end of our ride, even going so far as to walk us to the bus stop and directing us to the posted schedule. They have a free shuttle to the other side of the island where there is an onsen, although there is also an onsen within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Highly, highly recommend!

From booking to checking out, the customer service was amazing. We stayed one night in an ocean view cottage during our two day ride of the Shiminami Kaido. It was fabulous and so comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast included and the food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We also booked the two day supported cycling package through Wakka. The whole process from picking up the electric bikes at Onomichi station and dropping them back at Imibari station was easy and well communicated and coordinated. We even had a complimentary visit to a local onsen. If you are wanting to ride the Shiminami Kaido, I would 100% recommend going through Wakka for accommodation and bike hire. Book early!

I stayed at WAKKA as it was a good halfway point while cycling the Shimanami Kaido as situated in Omishima Island. The service that WAKKA provides is awesome- they have thought of everything. Firstly Claudio, who managed the booking was very patient, corresponding with me over so many emails and providing very useful suggestions. At no point did I feel that he was trying up upsell products to me. The staff are so friendly and helpful I would like to say a big thank you to two staff members in particular who we interacted with the most - Attican and Sugoi ( sorry if I have the spelling or you names slightly wrong. We had WAKKA provide the bike for us, drop them off in Onomichi at our hotel at pick them up at Imabari. The condition of the bikes were excellent. They looked pretty new, well serviced and they provided us with gel seat covers. They also took our luggage from Onomichi to WAKKA and dropped them off to our hotel in Imbari on our last day. It was worth paying extra for the convenience. We splashed out and stayed in one of the cottages rather than the dorms and they were very comfortable and cute with a deck to sit on and a view of one of the bridges and the sea. The size of the cottage was good. Decor is kind of Scandi style - very tasteful. Bathroom was a bit small. Whilst the toilet was seperate and the shower had a curtain. It was a bit awkward getting undressed or dressed in the shower cubicle. So would have been good to have a curtain or some kind of screen partitioning the bathroom area. There is an iPad in the room where you can book for the activities that WAKKA provide (fishing, cruises, making stuff) . You can also order food and drinks which will be brought to you. Fluency in English of all the staff we encountered was high. It looked like a few were ex-pats. They also charge your e-bikes for you every evening when you get back from your day cycling, welcome you on your arrival day with a cold tea ( which was very much appreciated since we arrived on a stinking hot day) , have a laundry (costs 550 yen to use). They also offer a shuttle at set times to take you to Omishima town to go to restaurants there or will book a restaurant for you nearby. We went to a seafood restaurant across the road and had sashimi. It was very fresh and reasonably priced. We had breakfast there both days and it was a very nice hearty breakfast - you definitely won’t go away hungry and it kept me going until lunchtime. On our final night, we just sat on the deck and ordered snacks for our dinner which were delicious. It’s very peaceful and chilled and a lovely way to end the evening after a hard days cycling. WAKKA is not cheap but worth paying a bit extra for the convenience if you can afford it. I think it’s one of the only places that provides the service of picking up the e-bikes at your final destination along the Shimanami kaido. You’re also paying for the service they provide and hospitality which in my opinion is top notch. The staff ther
