Villa Ambrosina

I was a guest with my family at Villa Ambrosina in early November for two nights. Room 106, as soon as we entered we were greeted by a very strong smell of smoke which permeated all our clothes and created unbreathable air all night long. Poor cleanliness, moving the bedside table to turn on the light I found cut nails. The view is very beautiful but to make the hotel welcoming they should pay much more attention to hygiene and use less odor-blocking spray. The must is clean.

Very nice room furnished in Florentine style with a nice large bathroom. Being on the hill you can enjoy a 360° view of the surrounding area. Excellent sleep quality. Normal breakfast with sweet and savory options available, very friendly staff. Large car park which I personally consider an added value.

Hotel in a convenient location 20 minutes from the center of Florence. View of the hills, tranquility, kind and helpful staff and welcoming and customer-focused owners. I stayed in superior room in 4. Comfortable room with nice view. Normal breakfast

In the quadruple room reservation, two double beds were indicated, one was old, crooked and creaking, the other was an impractical sofa bed with springs sticking out. Climate control not working, broken toilet seat, bidet with blocked drain, burnt out light bulbs, remote control not working, dust everywhere, I left with swollen eyes, poor breakfast.

Sono stato in questo albergo con la mia famiglia, in occasione della Pasqua. L'albergo è grande e luminoso, le camere spaziose, i bagni comodi il parcheggio comodissimo. A pochi metri il ristorante Monttebuoni -altra gestione-offre la possibilità di cenare senza prendere l'auto. Abbiamo occupato tre camere in due giorni, quindi abbiamo avuto una esperienza abbastanza completa delle opzioni offerte dall'albergo. La sala per la colazione è un po' piccola. L'offerta della colazione molto buona, con prodotti freschi e gustosi, anche salati. Il personale si è dimostrato comprensivo e disponibile in occasione di un problema di salute occorso ad uno dei miei ragazzi. NOTA IMPORTANTISSIMA: L'ACCESSO PER E AUTO È VELOCE E COMODISSIMO, A PATTO DI NON SEGUIRE IL NAVIGATORE!!!! bisogna prendere la strada in salita subito dopo la "locanda degli Scopeti", dove ci sono chiare indicazioni per 'albergo e il vicino ristorante. Se si segue il navigatore si viene indirizzati in una stradina strettissima, al limite della percorribilità! Prezzi al di sotto della media della citta-a collocazione un po' fuori mano.

Hotel is op zichzelf prima! De weg er naar toe is een grote uitdaging! Het hotel ligt vrij hoog, en de helling er naar toe is, zeker voor Nederlandse gasten, lastig te berijden! Stijgingspercentage van zeker 15%! Hotel wordt ook niet erg veel bezocht door Nederlandse gasten! Receptionisten spreken, zoals het gehele personeel, zeer beperkt Engels..! Valt sowieso op dat de meeste Italianen slecht een andere taal spreken, en dat in een gebied dat het vooral van buitenlandse toeristen moet hebben! Kamer was schoon en eenvoudig. Geen mogelijkheid om kopje koffie op de kamer te maken, wel verkrijgbaar evt onder bij de receptie aan de bar! Airco op de kamer is zeker noodzakelijk, maar blijft de hele tijd actief, je kunt deze niet zelf uit/aan zetten! Tv heeft gelukkig Netflix mogelijkheid. Geen info/welkoms brief/map op kamer. Totale info mag ook wel wat duidelijker, en zeker aan de receptie mensen die op z, n minst duidelijk Engels praten! Het ontbijt is niks bijzonders, maar goed, Italianen zijn dan ook niet zo, n ontbijters, is ons opgevallen. Kleine, vaak niet lekker doorgebakken, ovenbroodjes, en vooral veel zoetige ( Croissaint) broodjes. Dienstdoende dame, die het ontbijt verzorgde, sprak alleen Italiaans, iets wat eigenlijk niet kan in een hotel met internationale gasten! Deed wel haar uiterste best om t ons naar de zin te maken! Aangrenzende restaurant: vriendelijk, doch slecht Engels/ Duits sprekend personeel. Beetje aan de prijs! Hotel als uitvalsbasis naar Firenze prima!
