Home2 Suites by Hilton - Indianapolis/Downtown

Our check-in experience was extremely disappointing. The assistant manager, Beatrice, was unprofessional and rude from the start. Our room was not ready at check-in and we were told it would be delayed due to cleaning, but no timeframe was provided. We ended up waiting over an hour. When we were finally given a room, the one light was not functioning. I requested a room change, which was accommodated only then—despite the fact that I had asked about alternate rooms at check-in and was told none were available. It became clear that other rooms were available. Breakfast was also subpar: the food was dry, lukewarm, and unappetizing, and there was insufficient seating for the guests present. Additionally, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which was not disclosed in advance. Had we known this, we would have chosen a different property altogether. The carpets are stained and there is trash laying around in the lifts. The bedding is creased and based on everything else we observed, we wondered if it was cleaned ahead of our stay. I do want to note that Trip.com was very helpful and responsive throughout the booking and worked with us to address the situation. Unfortunately, due to the overall experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely and convenient room. Hot water, coffee and tea are provided at the dining area. The pool is also enjoyable. Great location (close to the downtown area), with only a few minutes’ walk to important business district and sightseeing places.

The bathroom in our room and down by the breakfast/pool area was gross. The breakfast was not the best. The valet was way backed up when we got there with only one employee, but he was so kind and worked very hard to quickly get us parked. I definitely would stay again because it is so close to things downtown. It was not that bad, it was okay.

Unfortunately, this was not a good stay as a long time Hilton Honors member. Our first room had inoperable lights, TV, and hotel phone. We were then moved into a new room where the hotel phone was still inoperable and the AC unit sound was unbearable to sleep through.

It was a great price for the downtown location. The room looked a little outdated. The breakfast time slot and flow could be better. We went during a busy time and there wasn't much food available. Breakfast was only open till 9am so it was crowded. The parking was inconvenient; we only found valet parking with the hotel.

The room smelled strongly of smoke. Which was known before we arrived as there was a air filtration machine in th room. Due health reasons this was a problem but, w were unable to change rooms until last night of stay. Later offered a room with 1 bed and roll outs for 5 ppl. Offered equivalent room for final night but with me already treating the room odors and just a few hours left in the stay there was no point of moving rooms. Also, we were not aware that fitness center and laundry were not available prior to booking, due to hotel renovations. Not to mention the shallow pool and lack of towels. Assistant GM (who made an effort to make our stay better) and most of hotel staff very nice, but was put off by the experience overall.

Enjoyed a big room, comfortable bed, and in room coffee. Breakfast was tasty! Walking area for my dog was very close. Staff was very pleasant to work with. Pool is designed more for kids (3 ft) than adults for swimming.

The beds were so comfy!! The breakfast was subpar but not bad. The staff at the desk could have been more friendly. In my opinion you should be able to check in at least by 1pm not 3pm . I think the price for this big room is spot on . And I would give it a 7 out of 10 rating.
