Third, let's talk about the Huitingyuan guesthouse we stayed at. I really didn't expect Huitingyuan to be 1.6 kilometers from the beach. Taking the community bus took over 20 minutes of winding routes to get to the beach. For our group of three adults and two children, renting electric scooters would have required two, which was very inconvenient. Driving to the beach, parking was also extremely difficult. Once, we rode a shared electric scooter, only to find it wasn't a designated parking area at the community entrance, and we had to pay a 50 yuan dispatch fee… Finally, regarding the experience, I went for a run in the morning, and many places felt dilapidated. Finding a public restroom was a real struggle. The only toilet we found in the entire park was a makeshift one by the beach – the kind set up for marathons – which often had long queues and no handwashing facilities. Secondly, the experience of eating at the second canteen this morning was terrible. Long queues for food, waiting and waiting, hungry while waiting, long queues to pay, still hungry while waiting and waiting, all contributing to a low mood. With an average cost of 30-50 yuan per person, a buffet breakfast and a nice change of scenery would have been much better. Instead, they opted for a ”canteen” for nostalgia, resulting in inefficiency and a poor experience. This time, I registered my license plate number before checking into the guesthouse, and the gate automatically opened at the entrance, allowing for smooth passage. The problem arose when leaving the area. I assumed the gate would also open automatically, but it suddenly dropped, almost damaging my car. When the property management staff came out, they said they wanted to charge me. I said the money was secondary; the real issue was that they had to compensate me for damaging my car. They said the gate lowered automatically, and I pointed out that I had a remote control and didn't press it. They charged me 40 yuan for parking. I got angry and called the guesthouse's receptionist, Xiu Bao, and gave her a piece of my mind. To appease my anger, Xiu Bao gave me a 100 RMB breakfast voucher. Xiu Bao said the check-in instructions included information about parking fees. I looked back at our WeChat chat history and, sure enough, there was a fee notice next to the check-in map: ”Parking fees in the residential area are 10 RMB per hour, capped at 40 RMB per hour for 24 hours (0:00-0:00). Please do not drive on the grass or curbs. Violations will result in being blacklisted and barred from entering the residential area.” The wording was so imposing! ”Violation” and ”blacklist”—if the customer is king, this is how they treat him. I'm saying all this in the hope that Azure Coast will improve the guest experience so that more and more people can have a wonderful and enjoyable time here."

Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs."
