The hotel is a building built in 1891. It has undergone renovations over time, but still needs to update its standards. We were only there one night. The room was small, as was the bathroom. Access to the shower was a little frustrating, because the old sliding doors did not slide well. They were supplied with soap and shampoo, there was no hair dryer. They don't have air conditioning, but in September, we opened the windows and the temperature was fine. The room had a standing fan. They offer breakfast and it had options and was well cooked. For us it was very good: juices, hot dishes, yogurt, cheese, we had a good breakfast. The best thing about the hotel, the location and the staff who assisted us that day. You can walk the distance between the station and the hotel, more or less 7 minutes, and around you find shops, markets, restaurants, internal bus routes. We were attended that day by Lucía, who received us with great enthusiasm and warmth, she recommended how to go to the places and the beautiful parts of the lake, which buses to take, and gave us some passes to take free public transportation. We feel very well cared for. We were also assisted by a guy who explained to us how to enter the hotel after 9:30 when the reception closes. He was also very attentive and friendly.

We stay here for 4 nights with a group of friends. It is not far from Interlaken West station (lee than 10 minutes walk) It has nice room, comfy bed but a little soft and fluffly pillow. The location is quite good, near supermarket and restaurants. Nice staff. Very good breakfast. It provide a lot of amenities with 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. Also have common room for guest's leisure and have some snacks.

This is a fantastic location. It was across the way from the west train station and not far from the main town. We had a fantastic big clean room overlooking breathtaking views. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of hot and cold food, However due to lack of staff when things ran out, they weren't being replaced very quickly but the waitress did her very best and was very pleasant when asked. The only complaints that I would have is that the hotel is very out dated and in need of a bit of maintenance. Also the Irish bar is not very Irish! and no beer on draft so very disappointing But overall a fantastic stay.

Nice mountain view from the room, but the room is not big. The hotel located 10 mins walk from the Grindlewald station and 2 mins walk from the First Bahn to go Grindlewald First. The breakfast is nice but it’s only open at 7am hence it’s quite rush if you have early activity which you have to leave the hotel early e.g to go to Jung frau.

Easy to reach - Took bus 105 to our Hotel Beausite, enjoyed our complimentary cake and coffee after a long flight. 😋 can walk if you are up to it, <7mins...
Super Warm and considerate hospitality from hotel owner Imi, reception staff John and Daisy. Our rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and cosy! Imi upgraded us with a room with lift access for my elderly mum FOC, we are so blessed and thankful! 🙏🏻
Plus point - beautiful scenery from our hotel room!😍
Excellent spread of breakfast with cold and warm options too!
John even helped us to order pizza and salad from his friend, which arrived within 20 minutes! Saving my elderly mom and us a trip to go down to Interlaken west to search for dinner!
Will definitely stay with them if we are back!

Booked here as close to rail for mountains and town (10 minute walk), plus it looked quaint with good rooms. Price comparable with many as Switzerland is still most expensive country to visit in Europe, reflecting domestic high salaries (maybe 3x that of UK or France). Initial impression not great, as another elderly guest was rebuked at reception when she complained about stairs (a lot) and was told she should have read before booking, no offer to carry baggage. Sort of set the tone for us. A take it or leave it attitude to service? However, chap was polite with us, gave us keys basic ideas, and we paid, as asked, before even seeing room, another no no for us normally. We told him we'd not have breakfast next morning as we were on 1st train up into the mountains. Room turned out to be not that bad, shower room a bit of a pokey after thought. Spotted a nice sharp damaged base to mirror above water glasses, before we cut knuckles on it. Needs replacing. It is an old building, but somebody ought to nail some floorboards down after maybe doing some sound insulation between, as every step on floor above and round about is very very loud, meaning you sleep late and wake early. Some stains on carpet in various places. Having traveeled all day, we opted to eat first night at half board, but wine, coffee and water is all added on at £50!! 2nd night we ate out, and had an uneventful but noisy nights sleep in the creaky ship style room both evenings. Breakfast was good on 2nd morning, even some cooked bacon and eggs - good for Brits. On leaving, reception would not deduct the 2 breakfasts we didn't have, (and which we said on arrival we didn't want) from the meal ”extras” we did have and want (and which we thought would be included), which seemed highly unreasonable, if not totally intransigent and so left a feel of being pick pocketted, as their rooms and prices are not at the cheap end, nor top drawer as in photo on site. Dinner staff were impeccable, if a tad over attentive, the meal was also very good food, so no complaints there except at 40+ per person wine and coffee (and certainly water) should really be inclusive as is our experience most everywhere in France on priced ”menu” perhaps not en carte. So, not our happiest stop over ever, we felt like minor inconveniences at times, not entirely value for money, hence the average score. Probably would not go back.

Our room was opposite the lift, room 208 but we're fine it as not many human traffic movements heard during our stay. Thanks to the hotel arrangement for the room facing the mountains and it was phenomenal and picturesque. Memorable! One thing to note that the door at the balcony was a bit at the loose end, that you have to push really hard to lock it. It was super chilly in the evening, sometimes the warmer works but sometimes it doesn't, in the event if the temperature outside drop to below -10°, the room will be super cold and you have to rely on the blankets to keep you warm instead. Overall, the room, free WIFI, breakfast and public facilities did meet our expectation. The wellness area on the other hand, is a bit over-crowded in the evening and there were no signs of free towel anywhere. I'd figure out myself that the towels are available in each of the compartment in the wellness area as long as there are no other belongings from guests. There's a small playground right in front of the hotel, had some fun with my kid playing snow and slide.

Spiez is a delightful town on Lake Thun and we really enjoyed our stay at La Belle Vue, not least because of the [essential] option of the view itself. Fantastic. The station sits above the town, and although it's an easy walk (at least on the way down!), because of the height difference you might want to make it easier still and get the bus, especially if you have suitcases or mobility issues. The #61 to the harbour (schiffstation) runs every hour, at roughly 5 mins to the hour in both directions. This means you can fall out of the hotel guest entrance in the morning to get (say) the 08.57 up to the station, and on your arrival/return the xx.49 bus down to “Des Alpes”. (There are other options to/from “Krone/Kronenplatz”, both very close to the nearby roundabout, namely #1, 62 or 63 going down, or the #65 up at 9 mins past). Incidentally, being able to simply hop on or off any bus (or train, or boat) was the main reason we found the Swiss Pass so helpful - it may not have saved us any money but it was so convenient to have. What about the hotel itself? We had a 'Panorama Comfort Double Room with Balcony' (Room 31). The room is quite small and fitted out in a minimalist fashion, and our bathroom - although perfectly serviceable - looked rather incongruous by comparison (I gather they are to be refitted). It was nice having large opening windows for ventilation as well as a balcony. There are no tea-making facilities in the room but there is a drinks station in an alcove on the landing, which was a clever alternative. There's a lift but it's tiny, which is why our luggage was kindly taken to our room for us ahead of us whilst we were given a welcome drink. The broadband is extremely fast. Rather unusually the breakfast is assembled to order - the idea being to save wastage - but you can have as much as you want and eggs and one or two other cooked options are available at a small supplement. The young owners are very much ‘hands on’ and have assembled a great team, so I wish them every success, but although I've rated this as 5* based on our assessment at the time, I do feel rather let down by subsequent events... We stayed five nights - not least because the hotel currently offers a very generous 35% discount on stays of five nights or more. The booking confirmation confirmed that this discount had been applied, and the net figure was the amount that the hotel took from our card the day before we arrived. Given that ALL accommodation in Switzerland is expensive [to us Brits] I didn’t think any more about it - it was a very good deal - but now that I come to compare one establishment with another in the course of writing my reviews I find that the figures simply don’t add up… At the heart is a lack of transparency as to what the room rate actually was for early August. I know what we actually paid – an average of £216 (plus £8 tax) per night (the actual rate varing accordingly to the day of the week, with Thurs & Fri being

IIvanC272The hotel is just across the road from Interlaken West station. So, it's extremely convenient especially if you're catching an early train. The hotel also issue free bus & train transport card within Interlaken and between Interlaken Ost & West stations. The toilet comes with body shampoo. There are also 6 USB ports for charging your devices in the room. Though the rooms are next to the street, the window and balcony door are double glazed, which keeps out the noise. There's aircon in the room but you don't really need it in winter, the fee to turn on the air-conditioning is CHF20. Breakfast is just average, nothing interesting here.
GGuest UserEiger Lodge Chic - Grindelwald: I didn’t realize that the Eiger Lodge was located in Grindelwald Grund – Terminal, not in the heart of Grindelwald. Having noted that, I must say that our 7 nights at the lodge with a room and balcony facing Mt Eiger and sumptuous breakfast, I was happy for my mistake. The lodge is near the Terminal from where we purchased tickets and left via cable car for the Top of Europe – Jungfrau, and took the Mannlichen - Wengen cable cars, as well as the main Grindelwald Terminal train station. There is also a ‘shuttle train’ which runs between Grindelwald Grund and the main Grindelwald town. It’s also a few steps away from the lodge (on the other side). The owner and staff are very personable and very helpful. The lodge is an interesting mix of hostel and hotel. We were in the newly opened ‘Chic’ section. Waking up to those incredible views from our balcony was priceless. Their laundry facility is somewhat limited for the number of guests. Line-up is via the honor system – first come / first can use it. The Eiger Lodge also runs a nearby campsite (5 minute walk). Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or outside. The lodge has an outdoor restaurant (open evenings) with covered and uncovered seating. We ate there several times – good food / limited menu / cold beer. The lodge provides all guests with a free bus pass. We used ours to get to the town of Grindelwald, so we could take the cable car to Grindelwald First, where we also hiked to Bachalspsee and met the contented Swiss cows. Highly recommended.
JJinganbluesThe location, the appearance is first-class, the room facilities are relatively old, and the antique furniture is also popular. It is not as good as expected, but it is not bad. You can drive into the hotel. The road is relatively narrow. There is an access control card on the last section of the road. Finally, I contacted the hotel in advance to ask for the password. Will take the initiative to tell you these precautions. Regarding the up and down of the cable car, sit for a while, hotel guests are free, you need to show your room card, remember to watch the timetable, don't miss the last bus. The view of the restaurant is very good and the service is attentive, but the food is as bad as ever, oh, I am not saying that this hotel is bad, I mean that all restaurants in Switzerland are bad (this breakfast is very good, you can go early, choose Facing the location of the waterfall, but the dinner is really hard to describe), unpalatable is one thing, full of ritual, each dish is served slowly, come up to explain to you what raw materials are used in this dish, how to make it, and if you actually taste it All restaurants in Switzerland, including but not limited to this one, are lacking in color and fragrance. My wife waited for the desserts to be served and hurriedly retreated. She panicked and forgot to take the bag. There is one thing to say, the service is still very good, the waiter put the bag at the front desk. Rory talked about it in a long way, hoping to be useful to the tourists behind.
AAnonymous UserHotel is well located nearer to Interlaken Ost station (bit of walking expected). Be sure to have luggage that have wheels. Ameneties are available for bathtub and shower if staying in the junior suite. Lovely view of the nearby mountains and paragliders who r landing. Easy walking distance to restaurants/shops nearby for food, souvenirs and shopping.
커커피The greatest hotel!! The location is so close to the station, employees are really awesome, the view from the window was so fantastic. They upgraded my hotel room from single to view room i think, the landscape from the window, The Eiger mountain was super fantastic. Amazing hotel, super recommended

I was really worried about how good this place is because of the reviews I read, I also thought the room will be too small like London hoyel rooms. Yo my surprise the hotel is Amazing and the standard room size is perfect for one or two people. Bed is very comfy. Also the air conditioning works perfectly fine, I live in a region with cooling is critical and I absolutely liked the room temperature although air conditioning is a real issue in Europe. They have Ritual products in the bathroom, and you can connect your netflix to the TV. Breakfast is very good, hotel has access door direct on train platform (this is amazing) . Staff are professional and pleasant. I looked around other properties in Interlaken East and West, they are mostly tired, cheap looking hotels, the Dorint is a 3 star but my experience is rather 4 star standard. I absolutely recommend it. Don't look elsewhere.
GGuest UserHow nice it was to return to the Rössli hote in its quiet, convenient location only a five minute walk from Interlaken West railway/bus/boat interchange, from where you can explore the beautiful Bernese Oberland region and farther afield using the excellent Swiss Transport system. The hotel is a traditional, homely, unpretentious, clean and well managed establishment with friendly and helpful staff. Christopher the owner speaks six languages and he and the rest of the multi-lingual reception staff can help provide local excursion tickets, information leaflets and general help with your itineraries that save queuing at the station or local tourist information centre. The hotel provides the Interlaken Guest Card that allows for local bus and rail transport within the town and offers discounts at local shops and attractions. My room at the Rössli was very clean, simply furnished with a very comfy bed, writing desk, multi-channel TV, safe, electrical sockets including USB ports plus a shower and toilet. There is a compact lift that operates between reception and the first and second floor, whilst remaining access to the third floor is via stairs. 24 hour free tea/coffee is available in the ground floor lounge along with a large screen TV with video options. There is also a small multi-lingual library and a microwave cooker plus utensils available so guests may bring in and heat up their own foods. On the second floor is another TV lounge with video library and children’s play area. Breakfasts at the Rössli are continental style with a yummy scrambled egg and bacon option plus the usual cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, jams, yoghurts and fruit juices. Tea and coffee are served at your tables by their friendly staff including Jean Louis (Christopher’s dad) who provides humorous commentary and useful pearls of tourist wisdom to his many returning guests. The hotel also provides free parking and offers a pay as you go laundry facility. Across the road from the hotel are a pharmacy, Bank ATM, Pizza restaurant and within 150m is a well stocked Co-oP from where you can stock up on drinks, fruit and snacks that will sustain your on your daily travels. As the hotel is very popular, I would advise booking early to avoid disappointment. If you want a family friendly, cosy retreat that won’t entirely empty your wallet, then I would recommend the Rössli without hesitation.
MMunchwithviennaOur 1st impression of Hotel Krebs was great! Reception was warm & explained in detail the hotel policies.
Our room gives us a feel as though we are living in the lap of luxury!
The perfect blend of size & style, we are amazed with their spaciousness & exquisite decor. They provide bedroom slippers provided, toothbrush, shaver & cream, cotton pad, safe, hair dryer, etc. These advanced amenities definitely make our stay nothing short of perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much!
The location of the hotel was awesome. It's just a few minutes walk to the Interlaken West Station. There's also many different buses u can take to many different beautiful attractions like Lake Brienz.
I have seen many reviews about the cheese fondue from their restaurant. We tried it too & was so in love with it. As we brought our 3.5yrs old child along, we can only have cheese fondue without alcohol. We replaced it with apple juice at an additional cost of 5chf. Indeed food was really good! And the waiters were really kind & friendly. They were very kind & patient with our little girl. She was given colouring materials for entertainment. Thanks to the waiters. We had lots of laughter while enjoying our meals.
Oh yes, there's a big fluffy black cat who often patronise the hotel & restaurant. It usually sleeps on the first chair near the left of the entrance. Staff of the hotel & restaurant are really nice, loving little animals & taking care of them very well.
Overall, it was a very wonderful experience staying here. We would gladly come back again!
GGuest UserPros: location near train station, comfortable bed, good shower Cons: no a/c (temps were in the 90s), inadequate storage in room (fortunately, there was a bathtub we didn't need, so used for storage). Makeup mirror on wall was so high the very bottom of it was 5.5 feet off the floor; not even my 5'10” husband could use it Rooms facing street were very noisy, even with windows closed. Even with Do Not Disturb sign on door, staff would enter room--without knocking. Worst problem was rude staff, from the owner on down. Employee who accompanied us to room said it was cooler in room than outside; we found that opening windows in 2 sides provided a breeze that made the room feel cooler. Staff closed windows when we were out; owner was aggressively unpleasant, telling us in a loud voice the room was cooler with windows closed. Washer and dryer were difficult to use, stopped before the money (more than required) we put in ran out. Employees couldn't resolve problems and were nasty about it.
GGuest UserThis little hotel was in the middle of Interlaken it was great, the young gentleman on reception was lovely snd spoke great English, he interacted and said hello everytime he saw us. The hotel gives you a bus pass which is great. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was powerful snd refreshing, the beds were so comfortable matress, duvet, and pillow. We would 100% stay here again.
