"We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Central City Camping Park. The facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, with overgrown grounds and an unsettling atmosphere that made us feel unsafe. Accessing basic amenities required navigating a confusing maze of passcodes, which only added to the frustration.Despite paying for two nights, we left after just 30 minutes and found a nearby motel that was far more welcoming. We didn’t bother asking for a refund — we were simply relieved to leave. As a New Zealander, I’m embarrassed that this site is offered to international visitors. It does not reflect the warmth or quality of Invercargill, which is otherwise a lovely city.This campsite does not deserve its 4-star rating, and I strongly urge the local council to inspect the property. I would never return or recommend it to anyone."

"1. Extremely poor service attitude: The hotel was already closed when we arrived at 19:00, and no one answered the doorbell after ringing it for a long time. In the morning, I talked to the front desk staff about parking, and their attitude was very indifferent. 2. Room facilities: Thick dust accumulates in many places in the room, such as the microwave oven, hair dryer, etc. The shower cap in the bathroom was actually packed in a box, but it had been taken apart and used and there was still water inside. The room facilities are very old."

The breakfast were great, as was Noel's coffee and Diana's humor."

"Reception couldn’t even find our booking, so were given the last room available, probably the worst one in the complex; toilet door didn’t close, toilet floor feels soft (rotten), only one bedside table, only one bedside light, no light over kitchen, no DVD player or dvd’s, shower constantly drips, no shampoo/conditioner, no shelf in bathroom, no towel rail. Room very dated and needs attention. Look elsewhere for something better."
