Lovely historic hotel in an excellent location in the city centre, right next to the train station. Rooms and facilities a little dated, but all part of the charm!

Always enjoy our stays at The Royal Highland Hotel it’s excellent position always gives us a great base to get out and about, very nice room, and friendly staff make the stay even better

Hotel is in a great location Walk out of the train station and you are there. Staff were great and the hotel itself seemed very nice. Really enjoyed my stay and if I am in Inverness again, I will be staying here again.

The location is very convenient to everything. Next to the Train Station, so lots of Taxi there. Lobby is nice. Do see multiple dogs inside the hotel. If you are over 100kg, it will be challenging to take a shower. So so tiny. Continental breakfast is poorly done.

Nice hotel, but a bit dated now. Very handy for the station and secure left luggage

Lovely nite stay at the Royal Highland Hotel room was lovely very spacious with a kitchenette included. Had a great nites sleep staff very friendly and helpful who also stored our cases for us prior to checking in which was great.

Breakfast was told starting at 7.30am. Lift was ancient and small. However, the town itself is small too that can cover within 20 minutes. Staff attitudes wise wasn't great. Maybe not many tourists staying in Inverness City area

Great hotel, lovely food, friendly and helpful staff. Despite being fully booked the hotel had a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere

Mixed feelings but overall a good experience Pros: 1) Vintage look..loved the Central Staircase in the lobby, gilded painting, older style taps and furniture 2) Room and bathroom was really clean..housekeeping staff did a good job 3) All required in-room amenities like kettle, iron,hot towel rack in bathroom, etc. were present 4) Reception staff wasn't exactly friendly but did their job well 5) There is no uber in inverness so the taxi booking from reception was a good service Cons: Hotel is in dire need of renovation..creaking floorboards, faded wallpapers, chipped bathroom tiles, chiped furniture edges, peeling plaster in bathroom (in some places), garish Yellow wallpaper which was chipped at the room corners and a really ancient elevator were some of the issues that we observed.

We love the location of this historic hotel. We ended up with a very small room on the third floor. I probably should have requested twin beds as I think we would have gotten a larger room. Lobby is wonderful.
