Actually I didn’t want to write a review, but the owner keep wanting me to give one. To me, it was absolutely awful. To begin with getting upstairs from the city center to that guest house is absolutely impossible. You will need a taxi to get there. Means that you won’t really save money at all. You better don’t book here, when you have a lot of heavy luggage with you. Well it’s not the fault of the owner, but it’s really annoying. After entering the guest house with that terrible synthetic fragrance all over the guest house and even in your room, it was really an awful start. It seems like they just wanted to make a good atmosphere with it. To me it was terrible and I had had headache the whole stay. The door to the room was quite annoying, when you wanna go in with your luggage, you can’t keep it open. It always closes immediately. Another annoying thing was that they want you to check out at 10am already, even when Trip.com said at 11am!!! The most terrible thing in the pwas that they ask you for your credit card details with the description „ in case we find damages in the room, we going to charge you“. Trip.com warns you to NOT give such details to hotels or guest houses and even wants you to report such requests. Well…that explains the sports car in the backyard. They should invest more in the room equipment instead. The mirror in the bathroom was so tiny, you barely could get ready with that. I don’t know what to say but it was a whole confusing and terrible experience. I don’t recommend it and I would never book there again. At least it was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The Ness Apartment at the Pitfaranne Guest House is compact and very comfortable. Everything had been thought of to make our stay in Inverness enjoyable. The location is fantastic. In a quiet street, but a very short walk to the town centre and many eateries, attractions and shops, including for walks along the beautiful Ness River. Highly recommended.

A charming and clean place to stay. Close to the city so we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Malcolm and Maggie are wonderful hosts and were a big help in getting me to my rental car after a lift pick up debacle. Malcolm also gave me a great mini driving course which greatly helped in my excursions. We had a lovely stay and I would return again.

The pros: location is convenient and close to town center and the room was clean. The cons: room was cold and was told heat would be turned on at 5pm. Woke up to a freezing cold room and blankets did not help. The spare blanket was twin sized, so that definitely did not help both of us. Toiletries were half-empty dollar store variety. Towels and sheets were mismatched. Was told upon check-in that we wouldn’t be served breakfast because we had an 8am bus ride and that was too early for breakfast. After that, we opted to bring our own breakfast to the room on day 2. I’m confused by the glowing reviews, to be frank. It was a solid 3 stars at best. It felt like I was sleeping in Grandma’s cold attic. There's better and there’s worse, just depends on your desired comfort level.

We booked the small apartment rather than a room. Very clean and comfortable, plenty of space including a double bedroom upstairs, a living room and kitchen downstairs and bathroom downstairs. The upstairs bedroom would have had more room if it were not for the single bed - this made it a bit tight but nonetheless comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped with a full oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and so on. It would have been easy to prepare a full meal here. All rooms were well maintained and clean, the property is in a quiet neighbourhood that is a short walk to the city centre shops and restaurants and is equidistant from both ends of the high street, although bear in mind that access is down some pretty big steps. Parking is a bit tight but no reason not to visit. Overall I am pleased with the choice and would return.

It was a very nice place to stay. The shops and restaurants were down this hill so if you were walking it meant taking stairs to get to that level.

It was very nice and hosts friendly. But no service to the room for 3 days....meaning glasses, cups, trash, towels all went untouched. Also no communal sitting area.

Cozy and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Very walkable area and close to shopping and lots of restaurants without the noise!
