Weil Hotel Ipoh

My trip to Ipoh was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed exploring the charming old town, trying delicious local food, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere, friendly people, and unique heritage buildings made the trip memorable. One of the highlights was tasting Ipoh’s famous food and discovering the city’s hidden gems. It was a great break from my usual routine, and I came back with lots of happy memories. Overall, my Ipoh trip was a perfect mix of food, culture and sightseeing.

The staff are attentive and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and the receptionist took prompt action to fullfil the needs from customers

The hotel is in a very strategic location, with a shopping mall directly connected to the hotel, which is very convenient.

On the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room. Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room.

It is always my first choice whenever I visit Ipoh. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making every stay enjoyable. I had another great experience here Hopefully, next time I’ll be able to book one of the rooms with a jacuzzi!

Nice room with a bathtub and clean. Using Intrix water dispenser is easier to refill water.

This is first time i brought my family here, the room is clean and tidy. We enjoy the breakfast very much, its delicious but one thing not satisfy is the long queue to the breakfast hall. The location is just near old town. Since my stay is within the public holiday, we just took Grab car to travel to nearby for sightseeing and dinner. Grabcar during Non peak just cost RM5.30, peak hour RM8.30 to old town.
