The attic bedroom was unbearably hot and stuffy during daytime especially on hot sunny days. Aircon at max cooling did not help to cool down the temperature. Virtually impossible to stay and rest in the attic bedroom. Nighttime is more tolerable with aircon full blast. From 12 noon onwards till evening, sun gets into the covered carparks and starts to bake and roast the cars. Guests became irritated getting into their cars making their stay at Tudor an unpleasant experience.

More like a homestay. Didn’t experience warm hospitality. Receptionist was cold and uninterested to speak to us. Overall an average stay without the comfort of a hotel.

Super little place. Beautiful decor, wonderful staff. All round excellent. Will be staying again.

stairs otw up to the attic has lizard shits, bedsheets in upper floor has abit stained from the dust.. staff is amazing

Hotel is clean and the decoration is very pretty. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Everything is perfect, overall we had a pleasant stay, would definitely stay again when we’re back to Ipoh.

The duplex room in the detached villa was in a rather remote location, with nothing around. You had to take a taxi to get around. It seemed to be surrounded by a village, with lots of trees and a lot of mosquitoes. The service was okay; an older woman managed the entire villa. The living room was nice for taking pictures, but the bedding in the room was quite old, similar to the amenities of a hotel in China. There were a lot of mosquitoes at night, even with the doors and windows closed. I don't know where they came in from. The mosquito killer in the room didn't work. I was covered in bites that night. The price was a bit high; 380 Malaysian Ringgit could buy you a room in a 4-star hotel in China. There was no swimming pool. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. Locals might like this kind of place because they have transportation and can drive everywhere, so it's not a big deal for us foreigners. I came here because of the high reviews, but I felt it wasn't worth it. You can see the mosquitoes I killed in the picture.

A very nice B&B, quiet and unique, with a Chinese-speaking housekeeper. It's a bit far from the city, but you can take Grab and get takeout delivered.

A great experience! Our first stop in Malaysia left a very good impression. If you're from Guangdong, you'll find it even more welcoming. The staff were very polite, and the manor-style hotel was very charming. This hotel would be better for those with a car, but getting around by taxi from the hotel isn't too difficult. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Ipoh.

If Ipoh itself is a 70 out of 100, then the Tudor Hotel elevates it to a perfect 100. It truly enhances your Ipoh trip significantly. Even though I didn't visit Mirror Lake or Kek Lok Tong, just staying at the Tudor made the trip worthwhile. When I sent photos of the villa to a friend, they asked if I was staying at Michelle Yeoh's house. The hotel's public areas are incredibly well-equipped, exquisite, and luxurious. The rooms are clean and tidy. The receptionist was very friendly and even recommended some good local restaurants.

We arrived late, and the elderly gentleman kindly directed us to parking and explained the check-in process. The guesthouse was charming and unique, but the facilities were a bit old. The location was rather remote, so it's best to avoid it if that bothers you. We met two local Malaysian couples staying there; they were incredibly welcoming, sharing local information and offering us tremendous help. We were very grateful! Malaysians are generally very friendly!

The decoration inside the hotel is very beautiful and you can take a lot of photos inside. There are counter staff during the day and guards at night. The room service takes an environmentally friendly approach, and many items will not be replaced unless you ask for it. What was a little unusual was that most hotels would help make the bed, but this was not the case during my stay. After returning to the room, I was confused as to whether anyone had come in to clean it.
