DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul - Old Town

The hotel is right in the heart of the old city's commercial district, with the T1 tram stop directly outside the entrance. This makes it incredibly convenient for getting to most major attractions. Its location is truly excellent, surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. To put it in perspective for Shanghai residents, imagine this area as the City God Temple (Chenghuang Miao), the Asian side across the Bosphorus as Pudong, and the Golden Horn as Suzhou Creek – that gives you a good idea of its central location in Istanbul. The rooms here are spacious (by European standards), and the breakfast meets expectations. All the staff members are quite courteous. Mr. Murat Sari at the front desk was particularly helpful, patiently answering all my questions. I truly commend his service!

The metal part of the hairdryer cut my thumb when I plugged it in! It bled quite a bit and really stung. There were no warnings nearby. The front desk staff were unhelpful.

The room is a bit small, so don't expect it to be on par with a 5-star hotel in China. It's located in Istanbul's Old City, which makes it convenient to visit various famous attractions. There's a tram stop right outside the hotel, and you can pay with a credit card.

The hotel is quite old, and the facilities are a bit dated. I chose it because I arrived late in Istanbul and it was conveniently located. The location is indeed great, but if the prices are similar, hotels in the European side are more modern.
