Ares Hotel is located in old town just across the street from Haiga Sophia. Many many restaurants and shopping available. The rooms aren’t fancy but has everything you would need and the AC works great! The hotel employees are some of the kindest humans! Adorable, very friendly, and very helpful. They will meet you to show you the hotel, they will arrange any rides you may need, and they help you find things in Istanbul. The restaurant is great. The best lentil soup I’ve ever had! Seriously, the best lentil soup I’ve ever had. The Terrance has a great view :) I would 100% stay here again if visiting Istanbul.

The room is nice and simple. Important for us all was clean. New towels every day. All we ask was immediately done. Thank you so much. If come late home at 3am in the morning no problem. The service stuff opens the door friendly. A Turkish simple breakfast plus a extremely motivated man on the reception who did all to feel comfortable. It is located at the centre of the heart of Istanbul. You can do all by walk here. Thank you so much for a great time

Its stated free parking it isn't. We have to park 2km away from the hotel.
I booked for double bed which can fit 3pax and from the picture theres sofa bed .. but got twin bed instead with no sofa paid extra for nothing. Stated blacon with city view. But we get no balcon with full of wall blocking our window. And sound proofed stated?? But i can hear next door taking shower with their tv on!
No water were given in the room.. must ask and they only give us a bottle of 500ml. That's it! The drinking glass is dirty never washed! The toilet smell of sewage. And when ask for things.. the grumpy old women will give you the looked. They said wifi password in the room.. which we can't find any. Checked in at 9pm.. and ask for late check out, not available..(disapointed) Breakfast was so simple.. nothing extra.. not even extra drinks. Not even juice or fresh milk for my 3years old son. Very sleazy hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in November 2023. It started with the fact that the photos did not correspond to reality. We chose the room based on the photo, but it turned out that during the pandemic they painted all the walls white and forgot to change the photo. But that’s okay... when we booked, a buffet breakfast was indicated, and when we arrived, we were given a selection of 3 cheeses, two sausages and a basket of rolls for breakfast... which was also not reported in advance. When we moved in, it turned out that the toilet flush button was broken, instead of fixing it, we were offered the option of using it without fixing it... I’m sure it’s still lying there broken. The shower tray was leaking on all sides, so after every shower there was a puddle in the bathroom. Which, as I understand it, will remain without repair. We paid 8,000 rubles per night, a total of 32,000 for the entire stay. Decide for yourself whether this is a worthy price for the amenities I have indicated.

The very center of Istanbul is a medieval street between Sultanahmet Square and the Basilica Cistern. There are many hotels and street restaurants around, so late in the evening (before 11 o'clock) it can be a little noisy. The hotel, of course, is a little “tired”, but the excellent location, the presence of an elevator, a wonderful view from the terrace on the fourth floor and, most importantly, the wonderful staff eliminate all minor errors.
