This time I stayed near Izu Kogen Station, just a few hundred meters walk away, which was very convenient. Facilities: The restaurant and hot springs were all available. Although the hot springs and restrooms are shared, it wasn't inconvenient at all. You can play PS5 and use the massage chair. There are two hot spring baths, one large and one small, which can be reserved in advance. Cleanliness: It was cleaned daily. While traditional Japanese-style rooms don't inherently look as 'clean' as modern ones, I found it quite clean. Environment: It's close to the train station and there are some restaurants nearby. The owner keeps the place very nicely decorated, with many interesting ornaments and designs. Service: The staff member is *********, which made communication very easy. Every day, a large thermos of hot water was left at the door. The hot spring reservation software was very convenient and integrated with WeChat. When I left, the owner insisted on driving me to the train station – the service was absolutely top-notch. This little inn is quite interesting; if you're used to modern hotels, you might want to try this Japanese-style one. I would definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Izu.

Extremely helpful and hospitable staff, even gave us a ride to the station after we checked out! The Japanese style room itself we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, so this coupled with a traditional shared bath was a great experience!

Owner is very kind, the food is incredible, and we liked the reservation system for onsen, which made it private for us, totally loved our stay here!

This hotel was surprisingly good. I think I might have gotten an upgrade to a six-person room, but even if it was a single room, I'd give it the same score. First, the check-in process was super quick, and you get an hour of private onsen time for every night you stay. On top of that, the owner even drove me to Mount Omuro in the morning! The only thing I regret is not booking breakfast, because it looked absolutely delicious.

Very very nice owner who is always willing to go the extra mile. Appreciate very much. Place is not the newest but cleanliness and service are top notch and near to station! When we were leaving the dining hall, they even turn the slippers towards our convenience. Can’t ask for more. A very inviting place!! Food is yummy as well. Should try breakfast and dinner for at least one time! :)

The number one aspect that sets Hinodeya apart is the hospitality and wholesomeness of the experience. Hinodeya is not limited to just a room that you sleep in. Rather, every aspect of our stay in Ito was intertwined with the wonderful owner and thoughtful staff. From our arrival to departure, our experience was nothing but pleasant. The breakfast provides undeniable value, you get so much compared to what you pay for. For dinner, we recommend the crab dinner, though it may be seasonal, but you get a taste of a majority of the local specialties all in one sitting. The owner of Hinodeya truly cares about your experience, and is an excellent resource when exploring Ito. The staff are compassionate and attentive, checking in constantly throughout our stay to make sure we were having a good time. The rooms are very clean, and the onsen is a one-of-a-kind experience not found anywhere else.

Decide to stay for two night after viewing google review and trip.com review. Do take note this is three star ryokan and the service quality beyond that.

Near the Izu Kogen station, very convenient. Room is clean, big and quiet. Multi language service is very useful for those cannot speak Japanese. I was taken a free ride by the owner to Jogasaki coast after check out. Excellent service~

A very satisfying stay! The hotel had a nostalgic Japanese style, especially the many Japanese decorations and paintings in the room, which made me feel like I was transported back in time (although I don't know what it used to be like) 😉. The room was very clean, and the hotel's private onsen (hot spring bath) could be booked using the provided QR code for your own private use. The owner was very welcoming and would take you to tourist attractions. If it was inconvenient for him, he would lend you a bicycle, allowing you to experience local life. Overall, I would definitely bring my family back next time.

A very satisfying stay. It's an eight-minute walk from Izu Kogen. After checking in, the hotel explained all the features in detail. The bathrooms are shared, but there are multiple rooms, so even when the hotel is fully booked, it wasn't crowded. They were also very clean. The hotel also recommended great restaurants nearby, including Daiso, a supermarket, a drugstore, and BR Ice Cream. The next day, the hotel owner drove us to Mount Omuro. A taxi from Jogasaki Coast back to the hotel was only 1990 yen, which was also very cost-effective. I would recommend this hotel to my friends, and I would choose it again if I were to visit again.

This hotel is really nice. The owner is very nice. If time permits, he can basically pick you up from the hotel to Omuroyama/Cactus Zoo/Josaki Coast/Station. There are drugstores, convenience stores, stationery stores, Daiso and several restaurants near the hotel, which can be found on Google map, very convenient. Traditional Japanese living experience. Although the house is old, it is very clean and sanitary. Although it is in the mountains, there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. There is a Chinese lady in the store who patiently introduces the facilities. You can reserve a hot spring every day. The landlord sent us to Mount Omuro for free the next day, and asked us where we were going when we left the store.
