The best hotel I have stayed in during this trip to Japan. After all, it is the conference hotel for the G7 Hiroshima Summit, and the hardware facilities and software services are excellent. I really wish I could rate Hotel Trend higher, but I felt it was just an average hotel. Some positives were the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel did include breakfast, there is a small charge for breakfast, but they had a lot to offer. I was not a fan of all the waste that is used for preparing the breakfasts. Each dish is bite sized and they wrap it in plastic, which accumulates to a lot of waste. The food was good though, and traditional. The rooms and bathrooms were on the smaller side. I recently moved to Iwakuni and had three suitcases leaving little room inside. But the rooms were clean and had all the necessary items. My biggest frustration with the hotel was the Wi-Fi. My room rarely had a strong connection, and I had to get help several times. Overall, Hotel Trend is a basic hotel that is worth it for a few nights but it does have it's limits.
